Retouching a Beauty Photograph with my Trackpad
Well, I decided on filming a different kind of Photoshop video this week!
I figured trying to retouch a beauty photograph with my laptop trackpad might be an interesting challenge! Hope you guys enjoy watching :)
***WARNING
There was quite a bit of lag within my recording and quite often my cursor didn't show movement. So when there's quite a few clips and absolutely no movement on the Photoshop screen, you know why! (I was mainly just continuing on with dodging and burning anyway.) Sorry guys -_-

I love your retouching videos (I have a Wacom collecting dust). I find I'm using my mouse more. That said, I've been considered moving to a Surface Pro for on the go and even retouching. Have you ever tried a Surface Pro?

Thanks so much! I actually bought a surface book 3 years ago, (with the detachable screen.) It started off to be quite good, however as the years have gone on I've found it to be quite clunky and slow. I also never really liked retouching directly onto a screen, I could never get the hang of it! But some people love using it that way so it's totally personal preference 😂
I actually used to do this when I would be on a shoot. It used to make clients really happy and let them potentially see a rough version of their end product

@@KayleighJune Its worth doing to for larger adjustments which don't require a detailed amount of change, along with grading. I usually used to do this when there would a makeup change happening.

i do this all the time and i swear maybe i’m just weird but its A LOT easier than using my wacom tablet, i think it becomes second nature after a while

Yes, I guess it really is a matter of getting used to it!! I feel like I almost forget what it was like to even use a mouse to retouch, but I remember the first time I ever used a tablet, I really didn't like it, haha!! 😂
