I love this MV and how cryptic it is! Probably watched it more than a dozen times already picking up observations hahaha. I posted on the XGALX subreddit about my take, sharing my interpretation here! • Creature that exploded into blue smoke - The ones who dared to stand out and make the leap first before XG but didn't make it. They maybe served as inspiration for others to make the leap and risk too. They didn't make it probably cause they did it alone, or went ahead of themselves. • Creature holding the sphere - The ones who care for, or are protective of XG. Who are careful of them getting hurt from taking the risk. I think it makes sense with the interaction with Juria and Hinata being protective, and with Chisa and Juria as they seem to gesture like asking permission or comforting it. • The background creatures - they are ordinary people or performers of the average type. Not necessarily bad, but they don't stand out and just go with the majority crowd. The visual metaphor is that they are blown away by the explosiveness and talents of XG. And once they witness XG they can't help but be caught in awe and at the end bow down and recognize that they are great and are the ones who can make the leap to the top Overall, they are 3 examples of what XG was able to distinguish themselves from and overcome to reach the top of the other side: they are unique and explosive, they know how to take risks but do it together, they are willing to let go of their comfort zones. I think it makes sense and is really appropriate for the values of XG!

Great analysis. This is their origin story. I think that the creature is the ruler of her remaining group of people. She is holding and protecting the Egg holding the embryos/New DNA of her species. She stops Juria from making the the leap into the beam because the failures of the other jumpers. Their world is exploding around them. The girls/androids, are not affected by the cold which is why they dress without warm clothing. The explosion of the last jumper infuses the girls/androids/cyborgs with his energy. This is what allows them to make the leap into the beam. The ruler lets them make the leap, taking the egg(New DNA) which they survive. The top of the tower (where destiny and galaxies align) is where they start their intergalactic journey.

oooh interesting! i also have my take on this but i tried making a sense out of it by connecting it to the other songs because they have an existing storyline for all the songs in the mini album. First, i believe puppet show is the beginning of the story before they even depart from their planet (thru hesonoo and grl gvng visuals) and explored earth (through tgif and new dance's visuals). for puppet show, relating it to the lyrics, for me the over all concept is leaning towards feminism, because of several points haha 1. I think they are wearing bridal couture to symbolize one of the strings (restriction or any form of control) for a puppet (in this case women). 2. They also are wearing blue and everyone was wearing white with hints of pink. I think it represents the line in their song "imagine a world where we can take diff roles". Its just simple but switching colors traditionally used to represent men and women is kinda smart. 3. The mv is about resistance and breaking free. As you can see as the mv progresses, they went from not going with the flow to running against it. I cant make sense of those exploding person at first but when i read your comment it made sense that, yeah it can be also about how feminism is not an act for a single women (the one exploded) but it is an act for all the women (xg). Also, they're fashion statements are also a form of resistance to the traditional beauty standards examples i can see is harvey's tinted teeth and jurin's "filed" sharp teeth. I think that it represents how it should be normalize for anyone to be able to express themselves and be confident about it. and then that's it it continues to hesonoo where they departed from their planet to explore for that world where they can be more free in expressing theirselves, their arrival thru girl gvng, their domination in tgif, and exploration in new dance. But ironically and unfortunately they landed on earth hahahahaha

Did you react to Loossemble's Comebut (Comeback-Debut) yet? It's the new unit of Loona made up of Hyunjin, Vivi, Yeojin, Gowon and Hyeju (Olivia Hye changed her stage name to her birth name since she never really liked her stage name lol), their tittle track is called Sensitive and their album has songs that were written by the girls, like Hyeju wrote Real World, Yeojin and Vivi wrote Colouring, Gowon wrote Newtopia and Hyunjin wrote Day by Day which is apparently their fan song dedicated to us which we still go by Orbit however this unit has its own fandom name called C.loo which you pronounce as "Crew" since they're like astronauts of sorts in their space concept and Hyunjin was chosen by the fans as the Commander (Leader of the unit), their concept is the same as ARTMS in the sense that they're trying to find their friends (Loona) and reunite as one, also Yves wrote and composed a song called Strawberry Soda and gifted it to Loossemble to celebrate their Comebut, their album is made up of all the songs i mentioned and also includes an English version of their tittle track Sensitive and as is tradition with Loona they also have an Intro!!!

Just wanted to share the story and lore behind the music video., credit to @exScythed. - The XG girls are lowered individually into Buddhist Hell by the thread of a spider (the scene with Chisa represents this). The figures you see in the very beginning are wearing traditional Buddhist headdresses. They are surrounded by spirits who are caught in a cycle of reincarnation that never ends. (In Buddhism the “spider’s thread” is a reference to how Buddha took the thread of a spider in Heaven and lowered it down to Hell so that a criminal can climb up from Hell to Paradise. Therefore the thread of a spider is a symbol of slight hope aka a silver lining and of fragility. In the story it’s stated that the thread descended through “many layers of sky and clouds.”) - The XG girls look on sadly as many spirits attempt to reach Paradise and fail, exploding into nothingness (Chisa looking down from her perch represents this.) - Even though the XG girls are hailed as goddesses by the other spirits (represented by the way the other spirits bow to them) they realize they still can’t reach Paradise alone aka achieve enlightenment. - This changes when the XG girls find each other in death, realizing that their meeting was fate in order for them to reach Paradise together (they are tied together by the “red string of fate” and “hesonoo” is Japanese for umbilical chord.) This is represented four times in the video and twice in the chorus of the song; When Juria is running to help a spirit and meets Hinata there’s a close up of her eye where we see her having a vision of an explosion, when Harvey (who has black teeth which in Japan is a common practice amongst women because it represents a “woman with virtues”) meets Jurin, when the XG girls rap/dance together as a group with the drums, and when a wayward spirit’s failure to achieve enlightenment causes an explosion which knocks everyone down leaving only XG standing strong. There’s also a ton of fourth wall breaks showing that they’ve broken away from the circle the spirits are stuck walking in. They know the Truth aka achieved enlightenment and know you’re watching basically. Also, it is only in the later two choruses the girls adlib together. The first chorus, when they haven’t met in the video yet, has none. - Before XG goes, they bless one of the spirits who is heavily implied to be pregnant with a girl (the moon is associated with womanhood, XG fans are ALPHAZ aka wolves) and has earned the right to be reincarnated. - The XG girls take a literal leap of faith together and successfully reach Paradise! The music video is tied to XG’s themes of female empowerment-women have two “x” chromosomes, the girls are “extraordinary,” they have the “x-factor,”they represent a better future for women which is connected to the idea that the next generation of children (children birthed by women who have “new DNA”) are the future hence the futurism stuff. I hope this helps anyone!

So this music video, in my theory, they are like trapped in the underworld kind of like stranger things in the upside down and they can only go to the other world through the abyss if they are accepted. 1, the guy jumps and you can see in this music video all of the members eyes got like super wide cause they were watching to see if he would make it and he like explodes so he wasnt accepted. 2, they were praying or asking for guidance or something from that "god" person and then 3, whenever they all jumped it showed Cocona in the air forever but she landed and they were running up a building like they are running to the top. My biggest question was look at Maya before they jumped, she has like really icy crystal eyes and then at the very end when they are on the other side one of her eyes are red... so did like did something go wrong during the jump and they are going to like turn demonic? Like remember girl gvng they all had like different colored eyes.... or is this just to make the MV more hype? I have no idea! Ugh XG always keeping me on my tippy toes (see what I did there lol)

Please be patient. If you see my other XG reactions, specifically their dance practices, I go into full detail, and that takes time to do (prepare to film, film and be mentally all the way there to be able decipher, edit the video, create a thumbnail, upload, set the video premiere to the best time of the day for my channel’s traffic), and I have been out of state for a family vacation.

Lyrics are a worry. Are they encouraging girls to treat men badly? I love XG, but the message left me concerned. Maybe I just don't understand. I think TGIF is the track for me.

@@strangeclouds7 Sounds like I was, thank you for the explanation. I love these girls and was upset by what I was hearing. It's their message and even if they didn't write it, I think it would help people like me understand if it was a bit clearer. If there is anything by them about the song that explains what it's about, then I'd love to read it. I'm all for empowerment and think to date they've been signalling courage and confidence to girls which is awesome. I watched their documentary and saw how they were yelled at and shamed as young girls by Simon, when they made mistakes during training or didn't live up to his expectations. It's all a bit weird really commenting about abuse in an industry given what they've been subjected to. But then there is sexual abuse which is a whole other matter.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, I may have to disagree with the boy group part. They might not have HOWEVER I've heard a couple off putting sexual lyrics from Infinite, EXO, BTS and Seventeen. I mean even 7 talks about getting f*cked 7 days a week. I feel like the overall message of song is more on control and being held back by people (regardless of gender) and being brave enough to pave your way out of it. Everyone can be the puppet master of their own life.
