Well all of their solos where custom made for them, tho Hyunjin's is debatable since it was supposed to be for Lovelies if I'm not mistaken however I do still believe it might've been changed a bit to fit her more.

@@sadkidan4120 that's not true lol, the Loona project wasn't his to begin with, he was the one directing it sure but all the work and songs are property of BBC and Polaris, also because of lore it's important that each solo was made specifically for each girl and even for Hyunjin's case tho the song was not originally for her I'm sure they customized it and changed it to fit her, things like that can't be too messy specially with all the money being spent on the debut project.

I haven't seen a korean mv as openly gay as that, that mv definitely made me an orbit back then. Can't believe you're almost finished with this series, hope you enjoyed the trip! Definitely like a rollercoaster ride such different emotions and genres in every mv.

Such a great m/v. Never gets old. The final high note always gives me chills. The story of Chuu and Yves meeting is also extremely cute. They happened to be at the same dance academy in different genres, and despite Yves being very shy and stoic, she asked for for Chuu's number; they became fast friends. A short time later, they got to debut back to back as part of the Girl of the Month project. If you want to hear more, listen to the Frequency of the Moon podcast episode 6.

Chuu's MV is a reference to the tale Little Match Girl, where the girl have happy visions, seeing her grandma with her. It is revealed that the girl died in the cold. Here, Chuu have visions of being with Yves after she ate the forbidden fruit, which led to her own death. The twist is that she rose again to a new life, out of Eden, ie when Haseul woke her up; whereas the little match girl ascended to heaven in the afterlife. So, yeah, you are correct. It is a continuation of a series... SPOILER WARNING FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT YET SEEN YVES' "new" MV: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ In Yves' "new", she dreams of a new life and also ate the apple. In the end of the MV, eagle-eyed viewers will see her body lying at the bowling alley behind the white smoke. This is the same alley where she met ViVi. So, eating the forbidden fruit is a recurring theme especially in yyxy videos. It signifies the death from the old life in the pseudo-utopia of Eden, and rebirth in a new life of freedom.

As it happens during the winter, Chuu's MV is also a reference to the common cultural theme of rebirth in general after the death of winter. Christmas itself is a cultural tradition celebrating this principle of rebirth, when the days begin to lengthen again after the winter solstice (when the night is longest) until spring. With the spring equinox, the length of day and night are equal again, and the length of day-time finally becomes longer than night-time afterwards. Chuu represents this theme of longing for spring in the midst of the winter cold.

i think a good way to describe the emotion behind this song is "desperation", a mixture of love, addiction and also sadness from not being able to be with that person, ar at least that until the end when the MV recontextualizes the song a bit and it becomes more of a celebration when Yves notices Chuu for the first time as she finally accepts her fate and eats the apple.

Chuu kicked down the debut door with insane vocals! Always loved that this song has a quasi-Christmas sound with a jazzy influence too. VERY EXCITED for you to finally see Olivia's masterpiece of a song.

My bias and bias wrecker switch places when it comes to fav solo song. Heejin is my bias and Vivid is my 2nd fav song whereas Chuu is my wrecker and Heart Attack is my fave solo. Fun fact: The pair share consecutive bdays (although born a year apart) with Chuu's on the 20th Oct (1999) and Heejin's on the 19th Oct (2000)

i think this was a perfect example of loving yourself first before loving someone else. the reason her apple was green is because she was still copying whatever yves does which is why yves wouldn't notice her (since yves is the all-knowing character of loona for eating the forbidden fruit). to teach chuu, she has to find a way to find herself and love herself in order to have her affection/acknowledgment reciprocated. hence, when she bit the apple, it turns red- and the strawberry, her designated fruit, appears and yves finally spends time with her. it's going to be a recurring thing in yyxy, by the way.

Everyone is like “I can’t wait until Thina gets to Heart Attack or Egoist” but up next is One & Only. I can’t wait to see that video reaction as a lot of people consider it a hidden gem in the pre-debut catalogue.
