hello john i think by now you must have finished the cutting... so this may be useful for the next retaining wall. :D. two springs over the bolts and under the clamp bar so everytime you loosen the nuts the thing lifts out of the way, another thing i´ve made is to use bicycle seat clamp levers instead of nuts to make the clamping operation faster, they are small diameter if i recall well 5 or 6mm dia but you can upscale the idea. the dust! i hate cutting concrete.. clients too... maybe you can setup a mist nozzle. thanks for sharing. take care

Hi peter, Thanks for the comment, I have not finished cutting bricks yet and need to cut red bricks as well :( I'm not using water while cutting as I need to keep the bricks dry so the dust can be vacuumed out of the brick pores this makes for a better cement bond, So I make use of wind direction and also set a fan up to direct the dust. Yes springs under the second clamp are needed but didn't have any suitable in my box of springs, I do have some spring wire so will probably end up making some. Bicycle seat clamps sounds like a good idea :)
