The fangame is really cool. I played it. As soon as I entered a few Mortal Detectors while being chased, I immediately regretted it. Now the ones chasing me weren't just the Sharp Stalkers and the Shopping Mannequins, but the Crimson Chasers as well.

Which voice actor are you talking about? The voice actor for Malak in this game is not the same one from the official Dark Deception. He did an alright job. I'm glad his voice isn't automated like Bierce's. The S+Rank only took me a few days to achieve. It was probably about 15-25 attempts in total. It was lots of fun though. 🙂

This fan-game better have some influence on the official Dark Deception Chapter 5. This is amazing for a fan-game.

You did amazing during this, a well accomplished job you’ve done. Though I do have a question or two that’d I’d like to ask, responding is up to you though. A first question, did you ever think or attempt this challenge tablet-less like most of your other videos? And if attempted, how did most of them go? I am aware this would be insanely difficult, borderline impossible without them, I am just curious is all. Another question is about zone two, and how you said confusers were meant to spawn there, (either spawning with or without crawlers, I couldn’t quite tell from your words alone). Whichever being intended, spawning with the crawlers or spawning without the crawlers, do you think it would’ve made any impacts on how zones 2 difficultly would play out? Third is just a random question, were the confusers a problem during your first couple of play throughs, as they have been described as working quite differently from the other mannequin enemies in the game? Mostly as in if their erratic teleportation made them more or less of a threat compared to if it was a sharp dasher chasing you. That’s all my questions, again up to you if you’d like to respond. I do want to say I’ve been watching your content for a while, but I’m not that social of much of a commenter. All of your videos are extremely good quality and deserve more recognition. The fact you add little notes and talk with text is also a really nice addition and a staple to your channel, and it works really well considering the videos you do. Keep up the work with the content.

Thank you very much! It's an honour to make these videos for you all to see, and I'm glad to make a contribution to the textual-based video styles, which I don't think is very common currently. It has its advantages and disadvantages, but I like to think it really adds more value to these videos, as opposed to just being empty with just raw gameplay footage (although I do still provide that in the description for anyone who wants to see it). 🙂 The answers to your questions are as follows: 1. I did consider a tablet-less challenge before I played the game, but after playing it for myself, I knew this was going to be borderline impossible as you said, so I never even attempted it. A Speed Boost and Teleportation only challenge could be interesting though... 🤔 2. The answer to your question is a bit of both. Zone 2 is supposed to have both Crawlers and Confusers in it, but due to an oversight, Crawlers spawn in the place of the Confusers, meaning no Confusers, and more Crawlers, which was not intended. I actually spoke with the developer of the game about this, so that's why I know it's getting fixed in the next version. I don't think this would've changed much about the difficulty, but it would've made the zone more interesting (and fun) if it had more variety in my opinion. Also, I'm always happy to elaborate on the points I make in my videos, because sometimes I have to condense the information down so it can fit into the video and stay easy to read & follow. 3. They were actually less of a threat to me in my first playthrough compared to the Ice Mannequins. The Confusers were easier to run away from because they don't dash, and their erratic teleportation didn't achieve much. Their ability is really weak in my opinion, but because they're still fast, they can still be threatening. I hope that answers all your questions. 🙂

I still believe your text based commentary adds in a lot of charm, especially when explaining game rules and mechanics or just talking about something in general. Yeah that’s pretty understandable seeing how fast the mannequins are, even when just wandering. A speed and teleportation only one would be tremendously hard, I’m not sure if it’d be possible. One thing I thought was having the tablet down at all times, but being able to use the abilities. Though in hindsight it does sound a bit annoying and reliant on muscle memory for what powers your currently on. For the second one that’s good to know. It seems like it’d make it a little bit more interesting, but I definitely understand it being due to coding and oversights. I was thinking it’d look a little bit off atmospherically because of the ice on the confusers, which would either be foreshadowing or just kept on there, then again you’d need something to differentiate them from the other mannequins so I guess it makes sense. Lastly that’s actually interesting, as seeing none of the confusers in the video, (because of you playing really amazingly and safe, which is a good thing), I would’ve thought they’d be more of a threat, but it seems not from your perspective. I wonder if they’d get a buff to be on par with the other mannequins. Again, thank you for answering my questions! You must’ve spent a lot of time writing that so I fully appreciate it. Good job on your content still once again! It’s highly underrated due to KZread’s algorithm not really showing these kinds of videos unless your a dark deception fan, in which if you are then you’d probably get recommended this and be shown high quality videos of really difficult challenges, with the added bonus of your lovely commentary too. As doug leaving the final portal, doug is coming to bierce with the last ring piece in his hand. Bierce looking elated to get the final piece. Malak comes in to condratict doug's choice. Malak: Do you realise what you are about to do? OF COURSE YOU DONT! Your going to give to that brat the last ring piece. Hand it to me mortal, and ill promise you a better life than bierce could give to you. Bierce: Love, you are not going to do this right? After everything he done to you, he locked ur mind and even tried to chase you while you had a ring piece in your hand. Your still going to trust that demon?! Malak: Oh shut up bierce! You gave up a child's life so u can become a super star. You just used me so you can be a famous little brat and then leave me. Bierce: So what? You are a demon! You tried to kill this idiot too! I dont think this little idiot will trust any of your words. Doug is looking fustrated, looking at bierce and then to malak, focusing to decide to which one to give the last ring piece. Doug was sweating. And after all he went through, he might do the wrong choice and all of this couldve been for nothing. But then, a sparkling orb comes in too. They cant see the orb of course, but doug is looking at the orb to see what the orb is about to say: Tammy: Father! Give the ring piece to me! I can reset everything and bring you back to life. I am your daughter, right father? The clock starts ticking, the last 30 seconds while doug is still sweating and trying to do the right choice. And then... the final 10 seconds starts counting... (Choose who will u give the last ring piece to) - Yourself - To Bierce - To Malak - To tammy

This is an interesting story after completing the final portal. If Doug completes the final nightmare, and he had to make a choice who he will give the final ring piece, his choice depends on the ending of dark deception. I wouldn't mind to see it, though.

Thanks, I appreciate it. 🙂 The Crimson Chasers aren't quite as fast as Speed Boost, they're slightly slower. The lights actually don't change anything about the mannequins. It was part of an old mechanic which got scrapped and the dev forgot to change the death screen tip. It's getting fixed in the next update I believe.

Really cool I like the level name too I remember that I called this level "Cosmetic Cruelty"

It is slightly nerfed, yes. If I recall correctly, a few enemies were taken out in Zones 1 & 3, and the mannequin abilities (mainly the dash) were nerfed.

Because DD Chapter Five we know the names of their portals: 9th Portal: Holiday Horror. 10th Portal: Prison Panic. 11th or 12th Portal Should be Malak's Level(Malak's Lair) I can't even imagine that The 9th Portal will be the hardest The 10th portal will be the strangest 11th or 12th will be the Final of Evil's Endgame💀💀💀

Dang, that's rough! Having all of your progress reset like that really does hurt. lol At least in the clip at the end of this video, I only had to restart Zone 3, not the entire level like you did.

It was made by mixing a few soundtracks together using RaveDJ. I'm not sure exactly what soundtracks they were, but I know one of them was Look But Don't Touch (which is inspired by Carol of the Bells). Yes. All music in this video will be in the real Holiday Horror level in Chapter 5. 🙂 All except the boss music and the final escape sequence music (starts here 56:21), because the boss music in this game is the same as Agatha's, and the final escape sequence music was made using AI by mixing 2 tracks together.

1. I have no idea and I don't want to count them all. 😅 2. Opening doors can be risky sometimes because it alerts the mannequins towards your position, but I usually do try and open the doors whenever I have a chance.

1. I can't answer that question because I haven't played Chapter 5, but most likely it will have at least some bugs and glitches. Not sure if any of them will help you with S-Ranks though. 2. Given the fact that the Mannequins are blind and deaf, using Vanish to make them lose aggro doesn't really make a lot of sense. I don't think Vanish will save us in the real level.

Maybe, but I hope Vanish isn't going to be completely useless in the level. Primal Fear gets enough attention in my opinion. I think it would be cool if Vanish worked on the Puppet King but not the other mannequins, and to balance things out, the Puppet King would be immune to Primal. Or maybe there will be traps which we can avoid by using Vanish... I'm not really sure.

@@yanukisworld964 Yeah, I know. This fan-game however is called Retail Rampage. It was this game's developer who decided upon the name. Same applies to the Crimson Chasers, they're not called Red Stalkers in this game. And also, the white mannequins aren't going to be called White Ones. In the latest Q&A, the white mannequins are apparently just going to be props and not NPCs. I have some theories on what that might mean, but I suppose that warrants its own discussion. 🙂

Nem igazán gondolkodtam ezen, de az a jóslatom, hogy a jó vége az, amikor Doug megkapja az „új életét”, és bepótol minden szörnyű tettéért. A rossz vége az, amikor kudarcot vall, és Malak megöli Dougot és Bierce-t is. A titkos befejezés pedig az, amikor mindenki összegyűlik, félreteszi a nézeteltéréseit, és táncra perdül. 😆 Szerintem a játék több befejezést kap, mint ez a 3, de majd meglátjuk.

It depends on what you mean. We aren't getting any new skills on the tablet based on what we've been told, so it's just speed boost, teleport, telepathy, primal fear, telekinesis, and vanish. But if you're referring to the skills the enemies will have, then that's currently unknown, so I can't answer that unfortunately.

But in regards to my previous comment, I think we actually are getting new powers in Chapter 5 after all. We know nothing about them, but people (myself included) are speculating a cloning power.

@@melinapaz2831 Monster Energy Drink has a little problem: everytime they see words like "monster" in the title of any kind of product, they decide to sue them because "OUr cOStuMerS wILL GEt CoNFusIOn!" This is so bad and stupid that they went agains Monster Hunter and Pokemon (which is older than their brand). This time they went against Monster & Mortals. Their demands are: changing the title (but they can not use words related to thei rproduct, such as beast, unleash, etc), changing the typography and chaging their company color (they don't want Glowstick to use green with white outline + black background). If they do not comply, they will get sue. But here is the catch: they know that they won't win, so they are trying to bully Glowstick so that they lose all their money trying to fight the battle. Even if they comply with the demands, they will loose, since Monster Energy Drink wants to crush them. Thankfully people donated money to help prevent the bankrupcy of the studio (thanks, Cory!)

Oh, I think I've seen people do those sorts of challenges for other games, but I never actually watched them. It's an interesting idea, but I don't think this sort of challenge works too well with Dark Deception. A lot of the colours aren't very vibrant, and because the game is first-person and fast-paced, it would be really hard for me to judge when I need to pause the game and summon enemies. It would be useful if there was some sort of tool/mod that did this automatically, but I'm not sure if one exists. Although that gives me an idea. Maybe I could make a video where each time I collect a shard, the screen and audio gets more distorted, or maybe a meme could show up, or something like that. 🤔

Have you checked out Admin's Hell by Zetarite? Which is another Dark Deception fan game but Team Fortress 2

While I like the mod itself, I have to say otherwise on the Manneking. The Puppet King is a much cooler idea imo. This is just a giant mannequin... Edit: Not to mention, all it does is walk around.

Yeah, I agree, but this fan-game was in development before we knew about the Puppet King. Hence why the boss is a giant mannequin instead.

@@arron3410 Fun fact: you can't find any great white sharks in captivity at all in the world, so the shark you saw was probably a different species. 🙂
