Again, the best explanation of bonds even for USA person!
Hi, great show! Congratulations.
Thank you for this. It finally occurred to me that I could be putting govt bonds into a separately held retirement account here in USA. I’m looking at government bonds at this point for that account. I’m new to investing and have finally wrestled funds away from a “managed account” who essentially did nothing for me and it’s been very eye opening. Your videos are fantastic. The investment grade corporate bond values have been wildly fluctuating during the pandemic, which is insane. Now the Fed has come into prop up the market and the spreads have tightened to create more liquidity. Hanging in there.
yeah!
Whats the name of this amazing teacher?
What is buying discount bonds means
He mentioned 1.25% above the inflation. So it will be better invest in bonds which protects from inflation if inflation is above than 5-1.25=3.75% ..., than just in bonds which give flat 5%. hope it helps
In shares we will not only get dividends but also profit when share price appreciate

If you sell it before it depreciates.... (Game Stop)
Jesus. How do Brits ever make money on bonds, with the government taking a hefty piece at every step of investment?
