Also watching with phone screen sideways and just click on next video without picking up phone putting it upright just to press like button. Watching a video right to the end istill helps KZread algorithm.

    Hi Ashley ☀️ thank you so much for this video! I was wondering if you could do a video on shrinking pore size LOL! Is there such a thing🤔 what products really help with this. My problem is the nose area. I’m 66 and know that this comes with age and of course from being a sun worshiper when I was younger🙄 Also applying your foundation to pores and the technique if any, products that make them less visible . Your skin looks so pretty Ashley‼️ Thank you💕

    Try the NYX pore filling primer or E.L.F putty primer for makeup. As for skincare, using the Faded by Topicals and E.L.F blemish breakthru serum and moisturizer water gel cream helps a lot! Mandelic acid, tranzemic acid, kojic acid, and niacinimide are all used for acne/pil control/pore size. They work for me!

    I use my tretinoin straight. Putting anything on prior dilutes it. Use all my serums in am and tretinoin pm. Azelaic acid and niacinamide caused redness and did nothing for me. Occasionally I’ll mix my tretinoin with Obagi blender, even though it decreases the strength of the tretinoin, I like the hydroquinone- that’s the only thing that fades my brown spots! Hi Ash, When using the Glow Recipe toner, do you skip the NIOD mist or use both and if so, in what order? And would you pass on using Timeless’ 20% Vit C serum if using the toner (too much Vit C?) Thanks, as always!💕

    Hey!! I use both the NIOD mist and Glow Recipe toner. I like to be "extra" lol.. It's not necessary though as one or the other is sufficient. I also use the Toner with Vitamin C as the toner wouldn't be enough Vitamin C in my opinion.

    I'm considering trying Tretinoin although have not really seen much difference after using The Ordinary Retinol .5 and then the 1% for the past year. Is Tretinoin very different to those other retinol products?

  • @SincerelyMissAsh

    @SincerelyMissAsh

    3 ай бұрын

    Tretinoin (Retinoic Acid) is the strongest compared to Retinol and/or Retinaldehyde. The Ordinary just came out with the Retinal 0.2% Emulsion which is their strongest Retinoid in their collection. This Retinaldehyde is stronger than Retinol but a step closer to Retinoic Acid (Tretinoin). You could start with this product first and see how it goes before going to Tretinoin. Tretinoin can be more irritating, especially when new to it.

    you touched on a subject i wonder about and that is if your retinol is a cream should you use your serum first but you seem to say do the serum first then say retinol first which is best and will the serum dilute the retinol if used first?

  • @SincerelyMissAsh

    @SincerelyMissAsh

    If your Retinol is a cream then serums should be applied before for proper layering so that you avoid skincare pilling and to have your products absorb properly into the skin. I personally don't think about whether serums dilute the retinol. If you need additional hydration or you would like to use products alongside Retinol then go for it. If it actually does dilute it which I don't know if there is an actual answer for this it wouldn't dilute it much or if at all in my opinion but then again I am not a chemist lol.

    Hi, could someone please help me understand the different percentages on retinal products, as I'm confused. I have been using the Medik8 crystal retinal 6 for a few years, their next level up is 10, which is their 1%, so is the new The Ordinary 0.2 retinal emulsion a 2% retinal? Or is it like my Medik8 level 6 product, So therefore less strong than what I'm already using. Sorry if this is confusing, but I would really appreciate if someone could explain how it works.. Thanks so much. 🌻

    @@alena7393 yes, it sure is, but recently the Medik8 retinal has gone up to $149 a tube and I just can't bring myself to keep paying that much for it now. But I asked Deciem about how I should use it and they said start with just once a week for a few weeks until I feel like I can go up to twice a week, and I heard about the sandwich method and to use on dry skin. So I've taken as much good advice as I can get, I haven't had any redness or issues since using it this way. Only the first time I got red, burnt looking cheeks. So I'll take it slow and hopefully my skin will begin to adapt. Deciem also said the product is only meant to be used twice a week, once you're used to it and not to use nightly. So it's probably why they put it in the 15ml tube. I have pretty strong skin but this one is going to be a slow process. 😊

    I personally don't use Copper Peptides with Tretinoin as I fear the Tret would interfere with the Copper making it less effective but I am hearing more and more that you can use the two together. I like using regular peptide serums with Tretinoin but I will need to do more research on this regarding Copper Peptides.
