Liked the discussion so much. So many scholars try to establish or interpret the quranic verses directly as science. This only just does injustice to quran. Science changes, so when science changes should the quran change too, NO!.

I'm not really sure, I think "building the sky" can be interpreted scientifically. I studied earth sciences and skies (the atmosphere) are separated into 7 layers from troposphere to exosphere and finally the outer space, that might also explain that the sky doesn't shift allahu'alam. Also I remembered one of the natgeo documentary which talks about the story of earth creation, and they said the atmosphere was built gradually by bacteria that lived in the ocean for a really long time. In the same documentary, they also mentioned that the earth was created in 6 periods (I'm not talking about the eras) which aligned to one of the ayah of the Quran. But yeah we as a human can't understand Allah's knowledge completely and Allah knows best

I disagree bcs the word used in Quran for the rulers at time of Joseph is King the word used in Quran for the rulers at time of Moses is Pharoah so these must be 2 different people! what I think is that Kings were not Misris "supposedly non Egyptians" and when pharoah defeated the KINGS or the Hexuas or the colonizers, now they took bani Israel as slaves, why? 1. cs they helped the colonizers the KINGs against the egyptians and Pharoahs! 2. Pharoah needed slave labor to built up the constructions! so that is how the Israelite people were enslaved overnight! until Moses took them over the Red sea and droughted Pharoah with the permission of Allah!
