Restoring New Forest Wetlands (with subtitles)

The wetlands of the New Forest are special. These bogs, streams and wet areas are home to wildlife and plants which have long since disappeared from the much of the rest of England.
Wetlands store carbon, help prevent flooding, and support vital wildlife. Find out more about how we have been working over the last decade to protect wetlands in the New Forest, some of the last still left in Europe.

Great restoration project. I would love to see it become even wilder though, with say beaver & boar reintroductions. There must be some areas they could be reintroduced without coming into conflict with unleashed dogs for example?

Brilliant work. Now you just need to bring back beavers to stop them degrading again in the future.
