@@selma5885 there's an interview that he did with someone else that outlines how to do it. I can't find it. But essentially, cut out ALL processed food and sugar. And just eat once a day. If you can, throw in a few 2 or 3-day fasts in there once or twice a month. And water water water! Coffee and tea are fine too. I also eat A LOT of sour kraut and yogurt- damn near daily. I have lost 45 lbs in total.

On the contrary, he is just espousing the same nonsense that kept me a diabetic with just some symptom control. From long experience I know that controlling high glucose by not eating carbs is like not throwing gas on a fire. The goal is to put out the fire, not manage it!!! Studies dating back nearly a century noted a striking finding: If you take young, healthy people and split them up into two groups-half on a fat-rich diet and half on a carbohydrate-rich diet-we find that within just two days, glucose intolerance skyrockets in the fat group. This mechanism by which fat induces insulin resistance wasn’t known until fancy MRI techniques were developed to see what was happening inside people’s muscles as fat was infused into their bloodstream. That’s how we found that elevation of fat levels in the blood causes insulin resistance by inhibition of glucose transport into the muscles. Water fasting works as a kickstart, but a diet of whole, unprocessed foods high in fiber...including COMPLEX carbohydrates, and low in animal products and processed junk, including oils and added fats, is the permanent solution. My T2 diabetes was eliminated in less than 3 weeks as evidenced by a glucose tolerance test. That was ten years ago. nutritionfacts.org/2016/11/17/fat-is-the-cause-of-type-2-diabetes/

I’m trying to get everyone to listen to this doctor’s Fasting for Survival on KZread. Even though I’ve listened to so many videos on fasting over the years, that’s the most comprehensive one, in my opinion. I’m on my second 7-day fast since April. It’s so difficult but so worth it! I’m a compulsive overeater so fasting is wonderful because it forces me to find other coping mechanisms to deal with life. It’s so unpleasant at times, but then I have to find some relief other than food. I’m tired of food running my life!

@michael casey Hey Michael thanks for the encouragement. To be honest I'm not really counting calories but if I had to guess it would probably be between 1000 - 1500. It's a lot of protein and veggies however and some carbs because I also do Starting Strength exercise for strength training and I walk a couple miles a day. I probably should eat a lot more but I am really over weight and committed to the weight loss. I will say if your not as active as me eating 1500 or less will see you drop weight. After 18 hours you can feel the body changing to look for more energy. I hope this helped and answered your question.

Even though I became a nurse in 1982, I didn't take care of my health like I should have. I gained a lot of weight and ended up with a CABG of my (R) main artery. and in the early 2000's with Type 2. Even though I studied nutrition, it was during the time when they were pushing low fat and high carbs. It would have been wonderful to have had a cardiologist like Dr. J, one that could really make a difference with his knowledge of what to eat and fast to quickly get the deadly weight off. I'm just glad that I have it now and might be able to reverse some of the damage. He is a magnificent doctor. In fact it would have been great to be his nurse educator. It would be a satisfying job to be able to really make a difference in someone's health and life!

I can't say it enough, this man is a God send. I have had so many intervention surgeries and spent so much money and even have collections coming to my door bc of high medical bills and in 2017 my insurance was cancelled by blue cross and blue shield over no action on my part and that caused me to land in deep medical debt. The point is, out of all the money that was spent and all the money owed none of my doctors ever mentioned or tested for insulin resistance as a problem or fasting as a treatment / cure. But then again American medicine is also run by corporations whose driving motivation is profit. There's no profit in cures. Bc of fasting my blood pressure has normalized, my blood glucose has normalized enough to get off insulin and i've dropped some 20lbs since starting 12 days ago, my sleep is improved, i dont wake up pee 3x a night, I don't get woke up with dry mouth and throat, i can breath again while doing normal stuff. If you are Type 2 and on insulin a traditional diet will not work, insulin is the "storage" hormone. You have got to STOP EATING, you will survive, you will lose the weight, you feel like a billion $$$, you can do it, get off the carbs and the sugars and the processed foods and breads. I have fired chicken, pot roast, bacon, pork chops, turkey and more, you will not starve, your body will go into a with draw but it will pass quickly and you achieve ketosis and the lbs will begin to melt away. Anywhere in there did you once hear say "you have to exercise"? No, I walk normally as I do my normal daily stuff, nothing strenuous just being normal. Nobody is selling you anything here. It's your if you want it. I watch Dr Jamnadas videos he gives me inspiration to continue and now i look forward to the fasts not the meals. We have all heard that "breakfast is the most important meal of the day", the person who said that was selling a sugary, fatty corn based cereal, his name was Herman Kellogg CEO and founder of Kellogg's. I'd say he has an interest in making you think you need to eat his product. YOU DON'T, YOU HAVE BEEN LIED TO BY CORP AMERICA AND THEIR BOUGHT AND PAID FOR POLITICIANS THAT HAVE BOUGHT STOCK IN THE COMPANY. Lunch time doesn't mean you have to eat, it only means you need to make a decision, to eat or not and there is nothing wrong with not eating.

Dr Jamnadas is a National Treasure. I'm an addict. Quit booze years ago but switched to eating massive amounts of sugary carbohydrates. Low fat eating made me fatter and fatter. Tried Vegetarian and Vegan. Didn't work for me. I ate tons of chocolate bars and cereals(with Almond milk). My weight went up up up.And all this time I was Hiking Dailey. I would get up at 4:30 in the morning and walk 5 miles. It was my eating that was making my life and physical appearance awful. I would crash every day from all the sugary carbs and chips and pretzels I consumed. I hungry angry and tired. I knew I had to make a change. I discovered Dr Jamnadas on KZread and he resonated with me. He spoke to me and I heard his every word. I started getting sugar our of my diet and I started to do intermittent fasting. I went through withdrawal but it only lasted a couple days. Fasting has become easy for me know.I feel so much better now and all my bloodworm numbers are very good. My weight is still dropping and my goals to walk on the beach in June without a shirt on. Its great to feel alive and have a happy attitude. I wish everyone success following the recommendations of Dr Jamnadas. You can do this! Life without sugar is so much better! God Bless all of you!

@@MrBulletpoint it is not the calorie count but what to avoid that is important. He suggests avoiding, sugars, or any other form of processed products, better to have full fat milk for example over a 1% milk. Avoid vegetable oils - grape seed oils, canola oils, soy oils, corn oils. Avoid refined starches like flour Do not make fruit juices as a replacement, eat one or 2 fruits per day not a plate load. (He has a few fruits that is no go) Hope this helps, calorie intake is not a good measure of a healthy meal, of coarse what is will vary from person to person based on your diet, but his should give a guide.

What would we do without you Dr. J? You are so wonderful! Everything you've taught about this, I experienced starting in 2019 through the middle of 2020. I was amazed at how one mug of coffee with some heavy whipped cream kept me satisfied until mid to late evening and even then I wasn't starving. I didn't even think about food. I had more energy and less brain fog. There were days that I could go 18 hrs. without eating. My blood sugars were normal, good b/p, etc, and quickly lost 20 lbs Then the dreaded 'C' word came along, I got bored and lazy sitting at home and slowly started my old ways. It's 2023, and I'm back on keto. It's even easier now because I know what to eat and what to expect. At first it's not like you see a huge difference on the scale at first, but you realize that your clothes are looser. Then you start seeing the scale reading go down. It's exciting to do something good for your body!

I have been doing IF since last September and I feel so much better! It feels like I've been cleansing my insides of toxic poisons that have been filling in my cells. I feel better and better as time goes on. When I mention to others that they should fast, often they'll say, "they HAVE to eat 3 meals a day." They also think a small amount of eating sugar is ok for them, as long as it's a small amount. What they don't realize is, that they are spiking their insulin way up immediately even with a small amount of their sugary treat. A girl I know that's diabetic, thinks she ONLY has to count Carbs and disregards the SUGAR content and has to have her candy. What a disservice she is doing to her health. I can't convince her otherwise.

Thank you dear Doctor Jamnadas for sharing your essential knowledge with us all. I felt betrayed by the weight loss centres that scolded me when I couldn’t lose weight on their calories in calories out systems. I was in a dark place when I was diagnosed t2 diabetic. I went home to Mum and started caring for her, she died at 91. Gradually I lost weight from 88kg and now am 66kg and over 70 years. My Doctor says I am still t2d and I have started eating OMAD with mainly vegetables, no flour, no sugar, no corn and no seed oils and about 3oz of protein. After a week I am feeling much better. You are my moral support. I live in Australia and find the channel “Low Carb Down Under “ also very supportive and in line with your wonderful teaching 👋💕🇦🇺🙂

Yes you are so lucky having a Dr. like him. Others Doctor just see you because a Health Center pay them and don't want to see others patients. All all beloved doctors left or retired with the pandemic, they hear you attentively and all of them knew it I was trying always healthy staff and that way I was out of operating room and after testing again they asked what I was doing? At the beginning they heard me and were sometimes works after years passed by always I was open to my doctors and started to pay attention and know they started real listening and we're telling me maybe the start telling their patients doing natural staff. and the most I could say amazing immediately they Google what I was telling them and we had great conversations with my drs. That was every year for my regular check up . All those great drs. are gone and even to try to get last year and this year my annual checkup it was so difficult new drs. and I had to pushed because because just want people that had covid and don't want patients according they say have in not immediate danger. Then was hard last year to had a checkout. this year because with restrictions and even my health center star opening but any Dr you see they want to make for you appt to get the vaccine, and I was said before I push hard to hady yearly checkup my, blood test, my gynecologist just I could get the appt for primary Dr. not the others and asked for blood test I explained him 2020 I couldn't get it he was not so please anyway I demanded he ordered and after yo get the results were quickly but I want an appt with a primary Dr. to read and explained to me how were the results. By so many years I learned to read it because my drs explained to me so kindly but always we need a Dr. explain the results. So difficult to get a Dr. Finally I said I'm paying off or my health insurance from my poked because my insurance didn't pay any more and is not free until I returned to work. I went directly to my Health Center and asked for service . The nurse asked what is the reason I'm there, 😆😆😆😆😆 I told her she look in the computer and told the dr.was busy, but you see not patients in the floor she returned and said Dr. said your test are beautiful. I asked her because I red before and I saw something I don't know what was again after lon time she returned and said he is busy and if I want to see him in 2 hrs. I said OK I'll wait. Just I want to see who that Dr. is and how things had changed in my center with the Pandemic Tale . I was really amazed at the same time it was funny I was experience such abruptt medical service.. Finally aost the Health Center was almost to close the nurse called me and in the same room were she see you. He came and asked what I want told them gave or read how was of my blood test. just he look it up and said is beautiful again but how about something came out I didn't know what thateans . told my blood pressure was a little higher but I don't have to worry about. My blood pressure a little higher? I've never had BP high. It was that all because he told me he has to leave. It was a tremendous realization about DOCTORS and doctors.y Bel bed drs.left and this is a new reality till when who knows. Thanks God I was taken my alternative therapies like It zone and Lymphatic treatment to kept healthy is a little expensive but I believe is worth it. The Chiropractor is expertise in Lymphatic treatment, nutrition and he is good Dr. I took my blood t st and another another test about the vessel, arteries and he explained so well.Mybhealth is great. Why the bar cholesterol was a little high I had to recognize b I was eating food I don't consume maybe onc a year boxes of chocolates, like pills and lots of nuts the full jar till Monday ahead was dizzy. That was maybe 2 months ,why maybe ,anxiety ,boredom but thanks God after that I said What are you done NG and rectify healthy habits and done again test and Kinesiology and my body regain it's former energy, I said myself no more that crazy nuts and Chocolat. It's the first time I hear Dr. Pradip and just is a genuine kind, caring beside an extraordinary professional. I developed a sense to the act good people beside his great sense of humor I found him He is a Sage.To everyone we have to take care our health in our hands no DOUBT ABOUT IT. . I'm going to stop art water fasting I was doing before and had so many experiences about it he feeling ngs when we starting but as Dr. Pradip said the third day you don't fell hungry ,you are elated the skin turn so beautiful and even the people never knew you tell you ,you have such amazing skin. It's very rewarding.. Thank you Dr. Pradip I'm more conscious about keeping healthy in all areas. MEDITATION is Fundamental. So happy this Wonderful being is giving his knowledge.🙏🙏😊😊😊 .

I suggest that you give a chance to the practice of Tai Chi/ Qi Kung if it’s possible for you. It might teach you how to breath in an appropriate way and it would help you to manage your energy too. It’s like healing inside out. Try to find the best possible teacher/ school because it could make a difference. It could be practiced depending on the health status of the person. There is a page about people that have had healed of cancer, if you would like to check it it’s called: Templeton Wellness Foundation

I’m sorry to hear you have cancer. Praying for your recovery. I think fasting is very powerful. Cancer feeds off glucose (carbs & sugar). Deprive the body of glucose and the cancer cannot feed and live. Many variables though and every person and their body is different when dealing with diseases. I’m sure you can beat it though!

It takes more discipline ( to fast) and creativity ( recipes) for women as we are the ones preparing food for our families. I have quietly, over time introduced keto meals without fanfare to my family and they love it, even if they don’t know it. We’re all at a normal weight.
