I wish I had discovered you last year. Bought a vintage Cartier tank 18K white gold. I believe I got a fair price, however, where I live the alligator strap replacement was an issue. It came with a worn black strap, and I wanted something more "fun". We drove to S. FL to Cartier (they were super kind, even though I told them my watch was purchased pre-owned). But $400 for a new Cartier strap. Of course they used my original 18K hardware. I bought a color called Duck blue. Now I want red. So next time I come to NY I am looking you up! You are lovely and shrewd. Deadly combination!

LOL. The French “r” comes from the back of the mouth. She has as much difficulty to try to form an “r” at the front of the mouth as an English speaker would in trying to pronounce the French “r.” You have to admit her accent is kind of cute.

What makes the Rolex better than the Omega? The over price your paying for the Rolex? Rolex AND Omega are excellent watches. True horologists consider Rolex the toyota. So, it all depends on your perspective.

A better analogy would be Rolex = Lamborghini and Omega = Ferrari. Both are excellent and one is seriously overpriced.

She knows the prices of watches new and pre-owned. She buys low and sells them high for a profit. Can you do that? I would not call that knowing nothing. It comes from experience. She also has a passion for watches which makes her a good sales person.

"A certain budget". I don't see it that way. If you like Rolex you'll eventually buy it anyway. If you like Omega you'll buy it anyway. Omega and Rolex are very different. Rolex is more luxurious, while Omega is more sportier. So if you talk about budgets, then a comparison between Rolex and Tudor would be better. Same sort of style, but huge difference in price.
