Restoring a Unique Vintage Kids Bicycle. Rare Find !

Ойын-сауық

Welcome to today's episode, where we dive deep into the captivating restoration of a true gem - a bicycle that breaks away from the familiar Aussie-made rides I've tackled before. This particular beauty comes all the way from China, proudly wearing the Red Flower Brand. Unraveling the company's details online turned out to be quite the challenge, adding a hint of mystery to the mix!
In Australia, these Red Flower Brand bikes are like hidden treasures, shining amidst the dominance of locally crafted rides. Some essential parts were missing, including the mud guards and rack, and the original hard leather seat had taken a back seat, quite literally! To bring back its original charm, I had to introduce some training wheels - a necessity for those early riding adventures.
Join me on this restoration journey as we breathe new life into this Red Flower Brand bicycle. With the Cowboys and Indians spirit, we'll unveil the beauty of this unique two-wheeler, setting it apart from the Aussie-made crowd. Get ready for a blend of mystery, craftsmanship, and the thrill of restoring an international treasure!

Thanks for checking out my videos. May I ask what part of the world you from. I get the rubber in Australia from a local manufacturer. I have seen similar Neoprene Rubber cords on ebay but I believe they from China.

As a vintage tricycle collector in the states, I think you did a beautiful job restoring the small bicycle. I was especially interested to see what you were going to do to restore the seat.

Thank you for watching. The original seat would have been made out of hard leather, and the seat on it before restoration was a replacement. I hope my new seat stands the test of time 😁😉

Amazing work buddy. The powder coating is new. A step up from spray painting and it looks better too, especially the chrome work. I tip my hat to your persistence in restoring the pedals. Most of us would have ditched them and replaced them, but not you. They turned out fantastic. Great work again mate. You and your family have a great Christmas.

Well done, yet again! 👍🏼👍🏼 This trike has a few unusual features. Don't often see pressed sheet forks. Great save on those pedals. They'd certainly seen better days. The training wheels are a fantastic touch! I'd imagine the kids get a kick out of them.
