Good on Tom. My 871 dont have that history in my family but its my papas and mamas tractor they bought too clear our 5 acres back around 2000. I love it dearly and i hope i can eventually have it restored before my old man passes so he can see how she looks when shes "properly" restored.
I spent many hours on an 871 Ford tractor when I was a kid. Good memories 👍
Tw are my favorit we love ford ,long ,nh , ford agra we also love old 00&30 series case many dad grew up case and we fell love with ford because their a great tractor
Glade I never had one with out selecto speed
I just picked one up to restore. Just not sure which series i have. Its a selectospeed. Has a front loader and also a rear excavator bucket w/ 2 legs to stability.
is there still people that can rebuild those transmissions ?

Yes. Google selecto speed repair there is a guy who has mastered these and he even has a test stand built and tests runs every rebuild
My 80 year old dad has 861 and he talks like its a power house i feel it a big 8n i feel are case 930 or are ford 8600 is big. Are 861 seem small

861 is what, 62 hp? 8n is what, 24? Major difference.
