Ғылым және технология

Restoration Rusty Toy Mercedes SL 300 Oldtimer (AMG).
After an accident, the Mercedes SL 300 was outside for a long time. The body is very rusty and is very broken.

First, I completely disassembled the Mercedes. Then the body was completely freed of rust with the sandblaster. With the Dremel, the contours of the body were ground.
Delen was hammered out. Holes were filled. When everything was prepared, the underbody was painted black. The body was painted in the original color silver. The axles were ground and then polished. As an additional future LED headlamps were installed front and rear.

beautiful work, but there is one minor flaw. The Mercedes emblem on the back it should point up, just like the one on the front. It always points up never to the side.

@@c50ge No, I have never owned one. I worked in a place that repaired and sold them though. The only Mercedes I would be interested in other than the gull wing coupe is a vintage 70's or early 80's E class. I needed to take an E class into the shop, so I put the seat all the way back like I do on all cars. In that E class, all the way back, I couldn't reach the pedals. I don't know for sure if it was made that way or altered for some basketball player, but that's the only one I'd want. They had the small coupes, and about every model come through, but that one is the only one that impressed me. the C class didn't impress me at all, they seemed poorly made, one only a couple of years old had the chrome flaking off the wheels and other places. Just not up to what a Mercedes should be.

@@c50ge their 6 early on was a great motor. one that would last and last. Nowadays, they don't seem to want them to last, the want to sell you another one... I don't know about you but if they sold me something that didn't last and spent more time in the shop than on the road, I certainly wouldn't buy another one.

If I was going to customize this toy, I'd have added a blackout effect behind the front grille and in the side vents. I also wish rust really formed that uniformly. If it did, my 1999 Ford Ranger would just need a good sandblasting and repainting instead of having holes eaten thru the bed.
