MDF, is very heavy, and is not needed in a home system, small panels have a very high resistance to vibration, and they may not be bass heads.....

What brand Automatic Screwdriver do you use? It's a real workhorse!

Did Kenwood ever make a stand alone subwoofer amp to mount in a stack? Having the amp built in to the sub is just asking for vibration fatigue. My active sub (non Kenwood) has volume controlled by the hifi but none of the subwoofer buttons on the remote control do anything besides turn subwoofer effect on/off.

What a great job of restoration ... was that nickel spray you applied to the amplifier chassis ? I do question if this speaker really was worth restoring as it was not a good design ...

I´m not shure but seens to be kerosene ou turpentine. Benzene is very expensive and volatile

Agreed, it's just some bullshit gimmicky crap like most of these systems. Wtf even is this cabinet design?? Cannot imagine it would sound good at all and even be capable of producing sub frequencies haha

Совершенно неправильная сборка ящика. А пленкой оклеивал - руки из жопы. Наклеили криво на фанеру, давай отдирать и снова клеить неправильно. Потом пузыри разгоняют по сухому. Праймер не намазали, все скоро отклеится по краям и будет как было до ремонта :))

Good restauration but those subs suck so hard. Pls dont invest any work into those garbage things.
