Hey, James, nice build. Not your usual build. You made me order two blanks. lol. Blank blade is good price. I have some wood scales coming in and have made some resin scales too. Maybe i will put one of each on the blades and see what i come up with. See ya later.

Nice work. The bayonet is from the post-war G3 rifle. Nevertheless a rare piece of metal which I never saw in my military days.

When you’re squaring up the shoulders on the mill, do you have the collet running against the file guide, or the endmill? If it’s the end mill I suppose you’re using high speed steel instead of carbide so you don’t wreck the file guide?

I am just using the file guide to hold the knife in the vice. I am not touching it. My end mill is carbide. Kyle Royer "kisses" his carbide file guide with is endmills... I've had marginal success with this.

Nice restoration, hard to know how far to go to fix issues with something like this, if you go to far you change it from what it was and make it something else, good balance in your build I think, interesting vid :)
