It is very desirable to change the old oil seals, and you can not paint them. It's just cleaning and replacing the gaskets. Coloring for beauty.

how do you expect it to cool when the fins are all mashed flat and air cant go trough and not at least replace the seals if your going to do a restore then do it correctly not just clean it it might still run for a bit but sure cant trust it for full service

This engine was more complex than the others. The roller bearing are a nice improvement. You got it running and looking new. Good job.

It just look like new. Nothing was done inside. Nothing replaced. All elements old and used. Nothing checked. If you only paint old broken something does it start work again like new?

How come you didn't clean out the radiator grill? Otherwise nice job. I have one of these engines, with the only difference being it has an electric starter.
