Restoration of Fort van den Bosch, Indonesia

Ғылым және технология

Fort van den Bosch, locally known as Benteng Pendem ("sunken fort"), is a fort in the administrative village of Pelem, Ngawi in Indonesia.
In the 19th century, Ngawi was the centre of trade and shipping in East Java. The fort was completed by the Dutch in 1845. Later, during the Second World War, it was used as a prison by the Japanese occupation. Shortly after, it was abandoned and visibly turned into a ruined building in the middle of nature. In February 2019, the reconstruction was announced. In the following years, the fort was reconstructed in painstaking restoration work. KEIM Porosan-Trass-Sanierputz-NP was used for both the exterior and interior, as well as KEIM Soldalit and KEIM Innotop. Today, the fort shines again in new splendour and will certainly attract numerous tourists in the future.
