I can't be the only one who saw him cut off a resistor with kitchen shears then replace it with a fuse. Those aren't the same thing dude! Cosmetically though, great job. Also at the end, it helps if your SNES is turned on and playing the actual game that's on that cartridge.

@@user-gs6uu4rk6z Pretty much., KZread is full of fake restoration videos. He did a nice job of cleaning up this TV, but the electronics repair is temporary at best and the footage of the game at the end is totally faked.

I literally had this TV as a teenager in the 90s. I distinctly remember watching the USA beat Graham Taylor's England 2 nil in 93 while in my bunkbed with this on a shelf above it!

Appeared to replace high value resistor with a fuse! Simply unbelievable. Please prove me wrong. In any case fuses only blow for a reason.

I loved those old tvs. I bought one of the first handhelds in 88 when going to Texas on the bus. Watched it all the way there.

Made in Malaysia 🇲🇾 This brand was famous in my country long time ago but now the manufacturer was discontinued. I also had one but mine colour it's black bought in 2003. Now the tv was gone bcoz no one can fix it anymore 🥲 glad to seeing you fix this television from A to Z 👍

My mother had a portable black and white TV with a radio back in the early 80’s. She had it in the kitchen for a long time. Even used it in my father’s van to watched TV in the back of it. My mother did still have it before she passed away. It still did work on the radio. The TV was no use in today’s modern TVS that are out now these days.

I had the same sort of thing in fact I had 2 of them throughout the years back in the day and it was still knocking about in my mum's old house in the 00's until she sold the house and downsized a load of old junk got dashed.

Yes, but technically a fuse is a resistor designed to deliberatly fail outside of set parameters. An odd choice of 'fix' but if it's within the specs. it should work

What a memory old t.v. when i kid i play attari 2600 on that black & white mini car t.v. and my t.v. color was blue.

This (and your other mini TV video(s)) are pretty important for anyone who doubts the legitimacy of your work. I hate even saying this but there's a lot of fake "rustoration" videos and they really bother a lot of people. You are handling CRT TVs. Even in a little handheld TV set like these, that is NOT to be done lightly. They are very high voltage. You handle them properly, safely, and repair things accordingly. Major props to you, your restoration work is great. I really like this TV set. It's cute and surprisingly, provides a good image.

Pretty sure this is the same TV I have in my 1989 GMC van. Works great!

I had a pink mini tv in 1989. Some guy on the street approached me and asked me if I wanted to buy it from him for $20. I asked "How do I know it even works? There's nowhere to plug it in. I'll make you a deal. I'm not going to risk $20 on something that might not work, but I will risk ten. Take it or leave it." It worked. I gave it to my sports fanatic brother for his bathroom so he wouldn't miss those touchdowns or home runs when nature called.

Я вспомнил свой цветной телевизор Электроника начала 80-х. Он был чуть-чуть побольше, но очень похож! Прожил в нашей семье 10 лет, пока не сменился более продвинутыми моделями с большими экранами...
