    Haha im glad im not the only one that noticed the scoring on that piston, if your gunna put this much effort in then damn replace the tiny piston they cant cost much for that bike.

    In the first part of the video the cylinder as grey, in the second part the cylinder id a top rosa 74cc, and not new, the paint is afected by hot

    What blows me away beyond the restoration is that he’s not just restoring these things, but making sure camera angles are all good and edited correctly. Masterful work. Deserves more subs

    you need to replace that sprocket! its really worn out, not safe to ride with that much wear.

    The sprocket is the least of this guys future problems if you watch the whole video and know what you are looking at.

    If it was your first bike then surely you can see that this bike is a cheap Chinese copy and DEFO not a Japanese bike. Swing arm is wrong, engine casings are wrong, tank did not have plastics, wheels are wrong........ I had the DT50, DT125, DTR 125, TZR125, RGV250.

    Replacing the parts of old one if won't work anymore with a new one with the same style, look, size, brand, quality, and power. And put on the original parts that still working, will be a completly perfect restoration.🎉

    The early DT models had a hilarious design flaw. If you disconnected the wiring loom to the headlight, one connector easily accessible, you could start the bike and drive it off without the ignition key engaged. You did not have lights though.

    Good job, but there is room for improvement and there are also a lot of omissions, the plastic of the motorcycle could be better, you can see the flaws and holes on them, the tires must be changed, the piston with rings is a must, but ok, you have to admit that the man has skill

    See this is a proper restoration you’re restoring old battered parts and giving them a new life. Not just replacing everything then saying it’s restored. It’s much more satisfying cleaning and restoring old parts than it is to buy new ones!

    I'm sure the carb and jets would need to be cleaned and the air filter is shot. Nothing is torqued down the spark plug will come loose in five minutes.

    what paint stripper did you use? and on open metals how do you keep from rusting like the gears and/or bar etc??

    Not the creator answering but they used paste-like paint remover you find at any hardware store, and the front sprocket can be painted over with spraypaint, same thing with the steering bar

    Cool video, but why not replace the worn out parts while you are in there? That piston should have been relaced and the sprocket. It's one thing to make it look pretty, but why not make it WORK well too?

    You can use white vinegar and baking soda. Let it sit overnight and/or 24hrs and you should be good.

    Vaya restauracion, si muy bonita i tal, perl eso de no cambiar rodamientos ni retenes de motor es un barbaridad. Por cambiar, ni el piston. Ademas el kit de arrastre, la corona es esta inservible, tiene los dientes afiladisimos i torcidos. Solo faltaba no pongas pastillas de freno nuevas
