This song reminds me of my loving mother who passed in covid .... and remember all the nights she cried while facing all life's challenges bringing up 6 kids .... and i cry cause i never got the chance to make her proud of me ... never got a chance to pay her back for all her sacrifices she made ..... love you mum, always and forever

Maybe it sounds corny but the like that I gave your comment was for the way you spoke about your Mom. How completely unfair and cruel time for the both of you. I can only imagine what her last days were like. And for yourself having to see your wonderful Mother suffering. I know you wanted to hear her say she's proud of you, but one can't help thinking that in her final thoughts, you were very much held in hi regard. Thank the Lord for you and all those who love their moms as much as you

Man this is like a time machine to me. Back when I was a teenager, every Friday night a few of my friends hang out at our small town church. We bring sleeping bags, snacks, game boards. We just chill outside the church under the night sky full of stars while were on our sleeping bags. We hangout and talk about everything until we fall asleep while this song was playing on the radio. What would I give to bring those moments back :(

I was born in 1998, adults around me used to listen to this. And now that I am adult, I still listen to this. Old songs carries so much memories for me. I think music is such a good time machine you can use to reminisce
When I listen this song I remember my childhood memories🩷
The road I have traveled on Is paved with good intentions And littered with broken dreams That never quite came true When all of my hopes were dyin' Her love kept me tryin' She does her best to hide The pain that she's been through When she cries at night And she doesn't think that I can hear (her) She tries to hide All the fear she feels inside So I pray this time I can be the man that she deserves 'Cause I die a little each time When she cries She's always been there for me Whenever I've fallen When nobody else believes She'll be there by my side I don't know how she takes it Just once I'd like to make it Then there'll be tears of joy That fill her lovin' eyes When she cries at night And she doesn't think that I can hear (her) She tries to hide All the fear she feels inside So I pray this time I can be the man that she deserves 'Cause I die a little each time When she cries

I was born in 71. Music was good then but when the eighties hit? Wow! About mid nineties the entertainment boom was over. Glad you get to listen to musical history. Because of many reasons, the 80s and early nineties won't be repeated.
My momma loved this song in 1992 when I was only 7. I remember her playing this back to back. She left us 14 years ago, and I just remembered this song on a whim. I love you mom, and I miss you more than life.

Hearing this song again. Brings back memories of my childhood. Riding shotgun in my dad's truck, on our way to the lake for some weekend fishing. This was one of many great songs I heard playing on the radio back then. Songs of pure musical gold, unlike the garbage on the radio now.
My son love this song when he was still a baby. This song calms him down. Listening to it now 16 years later brings me back in time when I was a happy mom and a happy wife
this is my father's favorite song like every birthday i've had he's always singing this song in our karaoke that's why i love this song because this song reminds me of my father, loveyou pa
One of the most meaningful song I've ever heard... My wife, my mother ,and my sisters. I'm missing them all.
I'm 19 yrs old and I like these kind of music from 80s and 90s. As an early 2000s kid, I also grew up with this kind of songs because I always hear this in the radio when I was a little kid.

Don Henley vibe. Drummer is singing lead. Awesome.
Omg.... I'm 41 years old now, last time I heard this song I was literally 13. I used to love this song so much....hearing it now after so many long hard years...I only love it more....
Not a big country fan, but 90s country was awesome, reminds me of 80s soft rock. This is a really beautiful song. I can remember it on the radio as a kid in 1994 all the time

A lot of 90s country did have some of the same production values as 80s rock, which is pretty interesting. I guess they were a few years behind, lol. I'm not complaining though!

I think this was considered Adult Contemporary as opposed to Country. The same with "Tell Me What You Dream" which I think hit #1 in that genre.

It's 2022 and I'm still love the song that 80s and 90s brought it back today
Do you know how hard it is to sing and play drums AND still stay on beat?! That's fricking raw talent!😲

The only song that stage a comeback during 2000's ... I mean ... I just randomly kept hearing this song again amongst ... all the beautiful 80's and 90's songs !!! This particular song have this catchy vibe that is very easy to sings with anywhere and everywhere !!!
This reminds me of my Mom. She has always been there for me and I never have treated her the way she deserves. Without my Mom, I wouldn’t be alive.
MY most favorite song of all time, ang sarap pakinggan, cool lng,GODBLESS RESTLESS HEART!!!
This song is so magical. Just listen to that soft, soulful cry of the guitar. I haven't heard songs with heart like this since sometime in the 90s. What happened?

Without a doubt one of my few favorite songs by Restless Heart. Perfect harmony and such all throughout the entire song. Great slide guitar playing definitely. It is awfully rare to see a band with a drummer who sings and even does primary vocals on some of their songs. But that allowed me to see the reason why when I first heard Restless Heart on the radio as a younger child back then. I love the wonderful fact how they sound identical in that big way to the Eagles who’s music I’ve also loved for so many years too and of course they have had comparisons to the Eagles as well thru all these past years. Their drummer does look very much like the musician Yanni who I’ve watched on TV on PBS live in concert in past years. Great music video here too. I didn’t know there was in fact a music video for this particular song but it’s a great one.

I can't believe I forgot about this song. I played it constantly when my marriage was, in my eyes, in my heart, not going right. 3 weeks was out 35th anniversary! Music has a way of knowing how to set your heart straight. I guess after things settled down, I didn't need this song as much. Thank you guys for helping me out when I needed it most!!!!
This is one amazing song. I loved it as a kid and still do. It's so good.

In listening this again beacuse of the AU i read. Oh to listen in this song every night
I got to see these guys in concert, back in '98. They opened for Tim McGraw on Labor Day at the Fort Sill polo field in Oklahoma. I was 17, just graduated high school, and this was my first time taking a girl to a show. Talk about nostalgia.
wow ... released in 1992, almost 30 years and STILL one of my fav from Restless Heart
Man, this is a cold blooded tune. I worked at Billy Bob's around 1994, and Restless Heart were there ever so often.Timothy B. Schmidt got first writing credit on this one. Maybe that's why it sounds so much like the Eagles at 3:14.

I'm 17 and i still remember my father when he's driving or when he's in the house, he always play different kinds of 80's/90's like Madonna,Chicago, toto,OMD,and so on it's so many that it's hard to memorize all of his favorites, Well i just love it you know? It fills a big part of my heart and now he can't even play all of his favorite songs anymore He got caught all up in this saying "when the father dies everyone in the family dies"(basically my grandfather passed away) i just hope that he will play all of his songs again
Would play this song for my Mom at the nursing home when I visited. She had dimentia but loved listening to this beautiful song. Made her smile✔️♥️❗

I can relate, so sad to lose our moms. I lost my mom 27 yrs ago. Crying at night s seems to be private but my hubby always knows. Tonight we buried our good old dog a black lab of 12 yrs. She was such a good dog, I cried so hard, thought I was ok with it. But no, I cried till my tummy hurt and swollen eyes. My hubby said he appreciates that women have those strong emotions for people and dogs...men cant express that. Be said, I'm glad men are tough, because women need men to hold them when they can't be be strong... Even for good old dogs. RIP ol Ellie Belly.

@@teresasugden466 so sorry to hear about your mom, it could be one year or like you said 27 years and it will always hurt just not as much as time passes. The pet is always a tough one too as they become a member of your family. This October will be 5 years for my mom and April '23, ten years for my dad. We can relate how much we love them especially after they are gone. Stay strong and remember they live in your hearts forever and I believe you'll see them again. This song brings me back to the early 90's when the only things that mattered were Super Nintendo and Ren & Stimpy.
why was music like pushed aside? today all I hear on the radio are song like "lips taste like sangria" and "kick the dust up". songs like this had a real heart and soul to it. lyrics that can be truly relatable and have some thought put into them.

I actually like a lot of the newer country. The 90's was my favorite era of music, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the newer stuff. Blame the Radio stations for not playing our era. But don't try and prop up music of the past, by tearing down music of today. That's not how a country person does it. We have more class than that.

Life experiences have changed. The hardships, the friendships, the losses back then were felt more and could be expressed more. Today the younger people are locked in a bubble. Never had to suffer what real life had thrown at the older generations. Just my take on it.
2023 but still listening.. I really love this song❤
Brings back many good times of the 90's. I was a Senior in High school when this song came out.
I used to break down and cry on this song back in early 2000's. We just lost our boy to leukemia. My wife would wake up and cry on the living room past midnight back then.
