Mr Ajay is partially right. It’s hard to retire in Singapore. I am from Singapore and can attest that most of the elderly here don’t work because they enjoy it. They have no bloody choice as Singapore is damn expensive. My uncle is in his 70s and he still has to drive a taxi to earn a living. We don’t have a pension scheme here. Yea no doubt exceptions always exist, some of the elderly people I met work purely because they feel bored at home and need something to occupy their time.

I think in India also 90%of retired population do some kind of work. They take care of their grandchildren, manage homes while their children go to work sometimes even manage both the lives of their daughter and daughter in law. Some do gardening farming at native place. Ajay Devgan is talking about only 10%of population may be from rich families or film industry. No lower class middle class person just sit idle. It may be only rich people. Please classify specifically. I have seen from my surroundings people work hard till they have last breath. My age is 41 now.

@@mad_max14 he did not mention professional work. Just sitting idle and work are extreme things. And i never said rich people don't take care of their loved ones but the way is different. They have full time nanny paid to take care. Will you be happy if your parents will be working in supermarket at age of 65 or you will think they should spend time for themselves and their loved ones. Earning money is not everything. And youth at 25 30 age is jobless and people expect senior citizens at age of 65 should work tirelessly. Nature has some rules and one who breaks suffers. I do nor have any misconceptions about rich families but struggle made by average earning family is different than rich families. And all you have guessed what Ajay Devgan might be thinking. Working in supermarket and working like Big B cannot be compared. Also some type of work never asks retirement like art , actors doctors teachers etc but some jobs demand retirement for betterment of individual and youth and ultimately the nation. I also mentioned farming and gardening etc. Making only money should not be ultimate aim of the life. It's not that not earning money is rest and that will rust your life. Lastly what should retired people do? Work in supermarket or work as watchman is this professional job. Everyone is not a doctor lawyer or professor actor CA or bussiness person to continue same way. Now a days people think to get retired at age of 45 and have some plans to live the life at fullest so who will work till age of 90. Only those who do not have proper family support, who does not have properly planned life.

@@mad_max14 ofcourse I mentioned same in my first comment. 90%population is already doing this . Doing the things they enjoy but not working as professionals or in any money oriented job. At age of 65 do you think person is so fit physically and emotionally to work in such jobs. I never said supermarket and watchman Jobs are bad but those can exaust that person. And whoever is capable doing some or other kind of work. In short no one is sitting idle. So who sits idle and get money or food easily must be from different planet.

The reason for this life is not just making money and spending holidays, the goal is to reach that inner self where the soul can go beyond life and meet its almighty lord.

According to me in India, it's not about retirement or age. In India, most parents work hard or work day and night to fullfill their family's needs and children's needs and education and atlast they make sure children settled in life. By this time, they will be between 57 to 65. Further moves to 75 to 80. Now they want peace, relaxation. Most settle at a place, lead peace full life and now it's duty of children to fullfill their wishes and take care. By the way, Amitabh Bachchan is star. Not everyone can leave like him.

Copying west and ignoring Bharatiya philosophy, by working till you drop dead will give you anxiety, stress and make you suicidal. This thought of making people work, so as to be useful is like treating them as resource and not human. We're born to experience ultimate and absolute Love, Peace and Happiness and in turn liberate ourselves from this birth and death cycle. Learning life's philosophy or purpose from an actor, rather than a thinker or a philosopher shows where we are today. And on top of it, it's not his own thought, he's copying someone else from a different culture, which is not as rich as our indian culture. 😢 My thoughts shaped by @SatyaKiSatyata
