I was pretty upset Wowaka didn’t get the credit he deserved, but luckily he is now. Also, Unhappy Refrain is so good, I’d listen to it if you haven’t already.

@@Jordan-Ramses Yeah, like Usseewa was produced by syudou and Odo was produced by Giga, both big names in the Vocaloid field. Also the super-underrated KuroUsa, like the Waggaki Band's ver was too popular that not many people knew that KuroUsa produced it, he also had a few other bangers too.....(sadly that he has retired from making music) I hope that more and more people that come to love Vocaloids will love the producers who create the songs as well.

@frank-waynealberto6349 the Waggaki Band version wasn't really more popular. Just a different audience. On KZread the Vocaloid version seems less popular because there are two videos that split the views. Together they have 100 million views. Really it's a top 5 Vocaloid song on KZread.

Hi! I'm a huge wowaka and hitorie fan. In an interview with wowaka, he said that Unknown Mother Goose was a song about his love for Hatsune Miku, and basically just acknowledged how much she did for him. Some other info and details: - wowaka generally had a really confusing and melancholy writing style in terms of his lyrics. This is definitely more obvious in his hitorie songs since a lot of his popular vocaloid songs were more story based(?). For example in Shinkokyuu (or Heartbreath) one verse roughly translates to "Hey how many seconds left can you count before the day my pulse stops? How does this moratorium left on me, look to the rest of the world? Hey if somebody just stopped my breath, do you think I could actually just be at peace? But hey do you (not) want to see me laughing at the end of it all(?)". (credits to manjuhitorie on tumblr. Kinda eerie huh? haha). - That little bit in the middle that is often misunderstood to be "Pick me up again" is actually "give me love again" -Hitorie has their own version of this song where wowaka is singing! It's in their ai/SOLATE album, and there's a live version of it on their KZread channel as well - While it's true that Unhappy Refrain is about wowaka's frustration with vocaloid and his lack of recognition, he really did come to terms with it and recovered from it. During his live performances with hitorie he often sang some of his vocaloid songs (You can find videos of them doing Rolling Girl, Worlds End Dancehall, Unhappy Refrain, Unknown Mother Goose - They still preform this one all the time, Prism Cube, and Nichijou to Chikyuu no Gakubuchi). They even did an official rerecording for Nichijou to Chikyuu no Gakubuchi in their Polaris single. In fact in an interview that he did alongside DECO*27, wowaka said wanted to come back and write another vocaloid song but it felt like something was holding him back - Hey guys, did you know that wowaka made more vocaloid albums aside from Unhappy Refrain? I mean not a ton of people have listened to his Unhappy Refrain album or his lesser known Vocaloid songs, so definitely check them out. Some favorites are Toosenbo, Boku no Saino, Prism Cube, and Nichijou to Chikyuu no Gakubuchi. A little harder to find the songs outside of his Unhappy Refrain album but do a little digging! They're really unique - Please check out Hitorie! They're they band that wowaka formed after leaving vocaloid. All their music up until the REAMP album have been written and sung by wowaka. They're incredible and the remaining members are still ongoing as a 3 person band. They don't have the same sound as wowaka's vocaloid songs but they're definitely unique and just amazing. Some personal favorites are Senseless Wonder, [W] here, Talkie Dance, Loveless, and Little Cry baby. You can find English translations by manjuhitorie on tumblr and headless cat on KZread I know this comment was basically an entire essay but honestly wowaka and hitorie just mean so much to me that I wanted to share a little bit more insight into his songs.

As an UTAU cover artist, its especially important in my mind to credit creators properly, and im fairly certain that wowaka is a part of the reason as to why we always credit everything correctly, plus wowaka meant alot to the vocaloid community as a whole, everyone who has anything to do with this community has at least heard his name, R.I.P Wowaka

I’m gonna be real with y’all, this song is my emotion when my friends always say “oh this [insert song] was made by [insert a Vocaloid]”. Was I pissed? Kinda, but I did correct them and luckily it was only 2-3 people but what if these people were up to 1000 or more? I can understand the frustration Wowaka went through while making this and Unhappy Refrain and it’s sad to see so many talented artists not getting credits despite making masterpieces till this day. Eventhough this issue is somewhat solved in recent years but I’m still that his last few vocaloid songs was about his unhappiness with the community. Damn I missed Wowaka and his style.

Thinking about this one other channel similar to this that reacted to Rolling Girl by Wowaka, didn’t credit Wowaka and ignored all the comments about it till this day then continued to upload like normal. Thank you so much for actually crediting the producers when you listen to vocaloid. I’ve seen so many channels that are just like “reacting to Hastune Miku songs” or “I never listened to Miku”. It’s honestly awful, producers deserve credit for what they make

I find it funny that the song is titled "Unknown mother goose" as he once stated that Miku was like a mother figure to him. I've recently written an essay using him as the prime example of "artistic resilience," and up until then I felt that his story was tragic. but it's a lot more than that as I came to learn more about him. It feels like he's been immortalized within his songs, especially this last one.

Everything those two artists did still resonates with me. If you look on KZread you can find the raw productions that wowaka sent in for production where you can hear the songs in his own voice while he plays the music. ♡ warning...you WILL cry, you can hear all of his emotion in his voice and playing. ♡ rest in peace to these tragically beautiful souls ♡

I only really got invested into wowaka a year after his death and my god has it really hurt since. He’s one of my top favorite Vocaloid producers over just how impactful and meaningful his songs are. They’ve helped me through a lot as well. He means so much that for my senior quote, I put lyrics to Unknown Mother Goose: “Hey if you scream about your love, I’ll be right here. Words may be excessive but this dream continues on”. He’s one of many reasons I became a Vocaloid producer myself. I even make it my rule to only cover a wowaka song on the day of his death as my way of paying tribute. I do covers of songs mostly but this song, along with ryo’s Odds&Ends made me realize how important it is to appreciate the producers behind the songs. Before crediting anything else, I always put the producer first, even in the title because they are the important part of any piece. I will say though, Unknown Mother Goose, while talking about wowaka’s dissatisfaction with not receiving credit, is also about how much Miku means to him as a producer. He’s stated before how he saw Miku as a mother figure to him as he got his start as a producer through the Vocaloid scene. You’re right to say he’s influenced the community, Vocaloid wouldn’t be what it is today without him. Other popular producers have all been inspired by him, such as DECO*27, Hachi and MARETU to name a few. I always find it sad how not many new fans talk about him when I feel like he deserves the same amount of recognition as DECO and Pinocchio but I’m glad that his legacy is no where near being forgotten If you want another song like this, I highly recommend ryo (supercell)’s song “Odds and Ends”, it’s a heart wrenching song that talks about ryo’s personal struggle as a Vocaloid producer and he was just as impactful on the scene as wowaka was Rest In Peace wowaka ❤

I just love all of Wowaka's songs, their meanings and lyrics, they all just hit right at home. Its just so sad how he has passed, yet he still doesn't get all the credit he deserves. But, not in relevance of how amazing Wowaka is, has shooshi listened to any Mili song's? I don't know is you can count them as "vocaloid", but I really want shooshi to listen to at least one of their songs.

I adore this kind of content, where I get to watch people listen to and react to songs. I'm autistic, and it's hard for me to go out of my way to listen to new music; I usually just listen to the same couple songs over and over until I hear a clip of one or hear someone else talk about it. Videos where I can listen to the music WITH other people are a must and I'm so grateful to Shooshi for making the content he does, even if he doesn't realize how much it helps me find wonderful songs like this one. :D

About the meaning of this song. Wowaka didn't feel loved in the real world, so when he came to Hatsune Miku, he got a little of it. She sang the songs he wrote, without any comments, he felt loved. However, the listeners made him feel unloved. At first they forgot about him, only looking at Hatsune Miku. Later, when he became more famous, they did not listen to him and inferred meanings for themselves. At first it seemed quite fun, because people were interested, but gradually people didn't really care about the meaning he mentioned anymore. And some people later copied his style, even though he was accused of plagiarism, so it hurt him. Wowaka doesn't hate the internet community or Vocaloid, because that's where he comes from. But he no longer felt the love there, and no longer felt happy, so he left For Wowaka, love is when one person can understand the other, with just a very small hint. So he wants to find someone who can understand him (in this case, Who can sing his song. Miku). However, Hatsune Miku's merit cannot be denied, so this song is like a letter of reconciliation, sent to Miku.

(I never compare how good the songs sound, they both sound distinct and are incredible songs in their own right). Both producers wrote about such different perspectives at the end of their Vocaloid careers, and they were both extremely influential producers as well.

This is the last song he made before he passed away to my knowledge, so this is the song I listen to the most. I even learned the choreography from the MMD 😂

Hey there shooshi! For your apologies, I think it's okay to unconsciously searching for the VOCALOID rather the producers at first time in the fandom because if I can be honest, that was just like me back when I was middle school, and it's basically equivalent to the first time searching "violin/piano/organs" music for first time to know its producers. I'm glad that Wowaka and other producers were opening their feelings about it cuz if not, I don't think the fandom would acknowledge them, not even getting more popular in current J-pop. Great video as always !!💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

I would love to see him react to some of the songs in the kagerou project. I feel like the stories would make for an amazing reaction.

I want you to react to World's End Dancehall. It's my favorite wowaka's song, really catchy and has the coolest lyrics.
