Our Mama Leah has passed. She was diagnosed with cancer just about 2 months ago. At that time our veterinarian offered to put her down for us, however she still had a 3 month old cria by her side, so we turned him down in the hopes that she could continue to nurse her baby until she was ready to wean at about 6 months of age. Her baby Ruby the reddish/brownish baby is now 5 months old and doing very well. eating grain, hay and grazing. Leah nursed her until her very last day. Leah was a wonderful mother. She was friendly and sweet. We will miss her dearly.
