This presentation will explore everything you ever wanted about RTI Response to Intervention and Tiered Support Levels. RTI is broken down into three different tiers, with each one representing an increased level of instructional support. RTI is used to identify students that are in need of additional academic help. Response to Intervention itself does not classify students for special education services. However, a student must undergo educational testing in order to be fully classified as special needs. Other topics to be explored include abc charts which stand for antecedent, behavior and consequence, the BIP Behavior Intervention Plan, and support teams. Classroom teachers are to make the most of the FBA which serves the function of understanding the why of the behavior. This video is part of an instructional playlist from teachings in education and Frank Avella. Other videos in the playlist cover topics such as Curriculum, Inquiry based learning, Classroom Management, Differentiated Instruction, and much more.
