Which is more comfortable the 7502 or 6502ql? Or they both silicone seal? Like the quick latch feature on the 6502 but also want good comfort.

Hi safetyquip! I was just wondering between the 3M 7500 series and 3M 6500/6500QL series, which has the better vocal clarity? I know it will both be muffled though but am stuck between these two for the bayonet. Thanks!

I bought 7503 mask and neither the handle nor the mask inside was factory wrapped in foil. Only the filters were packed in factory-welded foil. It's normal? Maybe I buy a mask from a return or a previously opened or not original? Your 6225 7535 were factory sealed? Thank you for help.

Hi Jan, normally the outer case of the kit has a seal (adhesive patches sealing the lid to the lower portion of the storage box). Inside the kit, the respirator itself is either loose or inside a carboard box, depending on which of the kits it is. When the respirators are supplied by themselves (not in a kit with filters) they're packaged in a cardboard box, without foil/plastic wrap. If the respirator was supplied by SafetyQuip and in a kit, and there wasn't a seal on the case, feel free to return it and have it swapped for a kit that's sealed. We recommend washing new respirators with soap and water and then drying before the first use to remove any residue from the manufacturing process. Hope this helps.

is there any point in wearing a p3 filter on a half face respirator if it protects like a p2

Good question. The P3 filter is a high capacity filter - can retain more particles than the P2. The P3 filter is easier to clean too if you're working in a high-dust area and want to get the best life out of the filters..

If a mask or respirator blocks 95% of particulates, what danger is there from the 5% not blocked? (As in silica released by cutting concrete for more than 4 or more hours?) Would a mask that blocks 99% or better be a more appropriate choice for a mask/respirator?

Howdy. You raise a couple of great points. Yes, the particles that the respirator/filter combination doesn't block will pose a level of risk. Each respirator is classified with an "Assigned Protection Factor" (APF for short). The respirator in the video you've commented on has an APF of 10. Don't think that P2 Mask is subpar, P2 is still an extremely good mask. P2 means it blocks 95% of the absolute smallest particles,
