LOL I was using it the wrong way and wondering why they'd design it with the air passages going over your ears, making it loud when trying to sleep. Glad to have the video to reference

Hello Dars! The AirFit N30i mask is comprised of many mask parts including the nasal cushion, headgear, framing system, elbow, etc. Which part were you referring to?

Hello Charlie, While this could be a good option for those who sleep on their side or stomach, we strongly recommend discussing this with your doctor and DME supplier who have a better understanding of your clinical needs and can provide you with the best potential options for you.

I had the same problem, but solved it by adding a "jaw advancement" device called the Pure Sleep (~$60 for two, each lasts for a few years). It stops snoring and greatly reduces open mouth breathing (stopped it entirely for me). The device is fitted by softening the liner in boiling water, cooling for 10 seconds, and then putting it in your mouth with your lower jaw slightly forward for a minute. By advancing the lower jaw slightly, the soft tissues in the throat are moved forward, opening the airway. I use the Pure Sleep with my CPAP machine and find my breathing problems at night are almost entirely relieved.

I'm sorry to hear about the discomfort you're experiencing with your mask. While comfort can be quite subjective it is always something we strive for in every mask we make. If the tips shown in the video aren't helping you find a more comfortable fit, please contact your medical equipment supplier for a proper fitting and to discuss additional adjustments or options to help address the discomfort you're experiencing. They can also help you find another mask style and model that you find most comfortable, if necessary.

@@ResMedAmericas Tried the wide pillow that comes with the mask kit last night, it is the old design. Worked well, I will be using that until it ceases to be functional.

Hello @luckycat13, The sizing guide for your mask should help you to determine which size mask may be the best fit for you. We'd also recommend discussing sizing options with your medical equipment supplier. They should be able to determine the proper mask styles, models, and sizes that might work best for you.
