    Serious steel sells 32 inch and they are awesome for me being 5'5. I wish more manufacturers made that size. Of course I use longer bands for other lifts but for squat, deadlift, and chest press its crucial for more tension at the bottom.

    I'm just starting to workout with resistance bands for pull ups. I didn't realize the variety of exercises one can use bands for. Deadlift exercise one caught me off guard. Great info brother thanks. I'm going to do more research on resistance band exercises bc they will come in handy on days when weather doesn't allow outdoor workouts. 👍🏼✌🏼

    Bands are great for deadlifts and just about everything else. The great thing about bands is drop sets. You can move your grip during the set and then even grab lighter bands. It is super fast and way easier to do than with weights.

    Very good video, clear concise and useful info. I had a question: I keep my bands in nylon bag that breathes (no moisture build up) in my bedroom -- rolling the bands up loosely and keeping them in this bag like this shouldn't cause a problem right? Also, maybe you guys could sell a silicon lubricant for band care? I know I would buy it (why? because I would know that you guys had tested it and that it would not damage my bands -- I would have the right kind of lubricant).

    Thank you! Storing bands in a bag is fine. Also, we are working on a lubricant now!

    Can you discuss new bands and whether they need to be broken in before they perform the best? Also, can you discuss Orange Heavy and Grey bands? I can't get them to stretch at all. I can deadlift 240 but I can't get either band to budge. Finally, can you discuss the performance of band stacking such as using a black and a purple to get 85 lbs, if it works that way. Thanks!

    Great video! Would 100% pure silocone oil work as a lubricant? If yes, would you rather recommend a fluid (like cooling oil) or more viscous silicone oil?

  • @ClenchFitness

    @ClenchFitness

    Yes it should work. Something with a medium viscosity seems to work well.

    @ERRATAS0344 as long as it is silicone based and NOT oil based you should be ok.

    Would something like "Armor All" be a good protective coating for these bands?

    If using a foot plate and a bar would you add both of those together and subtract that number from the band length ( 18” footplate and 30” bar would be 48” subtracted from the band width)?

  • @ClenchFitness

    @ClenchFitness

    4 ай бұрын

    Yes, you do want to factor in any piece of equipment that is taking up band length.

    Should bands be stored hanging down from something? Or is it OK to leave bands laying on the floor?

    How do companies determine, or come up with the weight range we see on the bands? For example: 35-110 lbs, 50-125 lbs, 60-170 lbs, 90-230 lbs, etc? I have a 40" band, 6 cm wide, 3 mm thick that I would love to know at least the approximate weight range of.
