Resin Shaker coffee cups...love this technique!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I attempt and succeed in creating 4 beautiful shaker coffee cups. I filled them with baby oil and sealed the small opening with UV resin. I also used epoxy to create a bond between the cup and "lid", I wasn't sure this would work, but I knew I did not want to use and rely on UV resin to hold that bond. I had discovered that UV resin and epoxy resin really don't bond long term. So watch me as I create these and hopefully you will enjoy my video and learn a knew technique. I ask for your patience as I am still learning how to craft and record at the same time. Constructive criticism is always accepted. I'd love to hear from you.

Hi Sierra, I have just started out in this hobby and this video popped up in my suggestions. They are fantastic and I hope to make some as my skill set improves. I have subbed to your channel. I was saddened me to hear that you suffer from Crohns disease. I relative of mine, who sadly passed away a couple of years ago, suffered badly with it and had many operations in her life. Also one of my best friends from my school days has it. It took ages for the doctors to diagnose it and kept putting it down to 'growing pains' in his early teens. My mum one day said to me when he was diagnosed that she wasn't too surprised as she thought that some of his symptoms were so similar to my relative. I know from these two people just how horrible it is and what you must be going through. I hope that you are coping as well as can be expected and my thoughts are with you. I really enjoyed hearing the storm in the background, such a relaxing sound and it seemed to rain for ages. Kind regards, Mark P.S. Keep those videos coming.

Thank you for the lovely comment. I have an ongoing battle with Crohn's disease. I was diagnosed with it over 20 yrs ago. I've had over 40 major surgeries (lost count). My last one was in 2019, I had my colon removed, that saved my life. I have wonderful support from my husband and children. I love playing with resin, all types. I've been playing around with it for a few yrs. I'm still learning, stick around and we can all learn together.

I have the same molds. As far as I can figure out, the tiny round dots are feet to be glued/resined on the bottom of the holder to raise it up high enough for the "cups" to sit in it. Otherwise they make no sense, as "Boba Pearl Tea" is never consumed out of a cup. Neither is iced coffee or iced tea... Instead of a dotting tool for the small beans and cubes, etc. , try using a pipette. Much faster & easier. P.S. the little squares are sugar cubes. I'd use pearl white mica for them.
