Resin Sculpture "Just Havin' Fun" Tutorial

I wanted to create a colorful, drippy, layered, mostly free-form sculpture, and it worked!

I only took it outside for pictures. It is currently in my office at work and out of the sun. But I agree with a little heat the form can change, especially the thinner parts. Thanks for watching! ❤️

🦋❤️🦋🥇That sculpture is absolutely gorgeous, even when it was dripping it made tiny little pots in its own base as it started to swirl round and round as it was touching the bottom of your table, which I thought looked so cool also. Great work on such a master piece.

I am so glad you enjoyed the video! When it was dripping and spiraling, it reminded me of a 3D printer! 🤣

@@briscreationsmd but it sure did look cool I would have kept that little base with the tiny pot that the drip made on the table ,, you would be surprised what it can be made into, the little things can be as cool as the larger ones. That was fascinating just watching what that dripping was making all on its own!!!! 🦋❤️🦋

I enjoyed watching you make this. For me not enough people do free form resin which I view more as art than craft. You talking about runs and drips and controlling them etc so if have any 'clear' elmers school glue and you add avery small amount to your resin, it causes it to thicken/gel which opens up all kinds of new ways to use resin. About 2 weeks ago Dan Copper discovered this accidently and has been experimenting with all types of resin thick ,thin UV etc. and works.. Anyhow I can see this would work here and also for drip texture on tumblers. Your vase and colors are really stunning, thank you sharing this.

Thank you for the kind words. I will definitely check out Dan's channel and give the glue resin mixture a try! I love working with this medium; it is very therapeutic. ❤️

I use the wood wedges that ya use to level cabinets n whatnot. They work pretty good cuz u can easily adjust them 😉 U could make jewelry out of the drippings
