Resin Flower Coasters Easy Method

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hey my lovelies, in this video I am showing you how I made a simple resin flower using an easy technique. I take you through another 2 flower designs using the leftover resin from previous video. This video was filmed directly after the last one Saturday. I had resin left in the piping bags and some clear, so I needed to use it all up straight away.

@@ClairesCraftyCorner i only ever say what i mean and is defiantly a fun Claire piece, doodling with your resin with freedom and no expectations just playing and at the end of the day crafts are meant to be fun, freeing and not always about getting a perfect structured piece, i craft to take my mind off my pain so i hardly ever have a plan in mined unless i have been asked to make something and planned it out with them, the rest well its distraction from 24/7 pain and server depression and mental health issues caused but living in pain and more or less house bound, i loose myself in what im making and for that time im free from everything (well thats what i tell myself) which is why im so thrilled that you have chosen mental health as your charity, i have one mug plan on getting a "coffee" one next and did you mention t shirts? i never by any merch but love watching you, i have learnt loads from you and im now addicted to using tattoos and stickers lol so buying some items gives me a little you at my home and some money to a cause i know way to much about xx

Claire I have a friend that takes all the junk coaster I make and he turns them on the lathe. Yessss.. he files off any rough edges & stacks them up how he think they look good color wise. Then he puts glue between the coasters.. once they are clamped together for a couple days he goes to the lathe and makes bottle shapes like the ‘I Dream Of Genie’ bottles or whatever he imagines as he’s carving. So yah don’t throw them away! I hope that made sense 🤔 Thanks for sharing.. love all your videos!! 👌💯🤗

@@ClairesCraftyCorner I meant the rough edges where the resins climb up the molds, to get a good seal with the glues.. not the geode edges. He carves any irregularities off as it spins. It doesn’t matter if they’re round or square or geodes etc.. Just saying in case anyone reads this and want to give it a go. Ok sweetie I’m out ✌️

Omg that spiral flower was absolutely gorgeous ❣️ I love the colours. A little tip for your centers to stay put is to use the little gold rocks or whatever colour you like cos they're heavier than glitter so they won't float around the coaster (I haven't started doing anything with resin yet but from all the videos I watch this has happened a lot and with some of them the glitter completely took over everything so they tried the little rocks and have had great results)

You're definitely getting there with the flowers 😀. I've not tried it yet, keep meaning to. I wonder if maybe using something that won't spread as much as glitter might work better, like crushed glass of even foil flakes. I've seen buttons used as flower centres. Just a thought 😀. Did you drag a stick through the one on the left, didn't think you did. I think it might look more like a Rose if a stick was pulled through it and maybe not blended as much. Just a thought again😀, never done flowers so can't speak from experience.
