Love the video. Awesome info, They also have the "Team Series". Absolute monsters!! Dude had 4 18s said they weighed in at around 120lbs.! Each. I just saw a dude on side of the road had 2 12" golds. They are definitely coming around. More and more people on getting on the resilient train.

My buddy just picked up Two 18" Resilient sounds Platinums they are going on a salt 4 they came in this morning and holy shit these are straight up monsters lol

Resilient right up the street from me. Damn I'd love to have one of their Plat or Onyx series! I've never heard the gold, but have heard Plat 15s on a Taramp and man it was violent bass! New sub. Love your vids!

You said it looks like ct sounds. Exactly what I thought when I seen em months back. Ct sounds been solid for me tho. Yo ultimax 8 update it didn’t work well with a 12 inch passive radiator. Bottomed out on 300 watts. Almost sounded good then bottomed out lol. Building a 4th order to hopefully give some control but hit the notes I want.

I'm thinking of getting 4 of the resilient sounds Gold 8s dual 2 ohms to wire them down to 1 ohm on a 5-8k in 2ft³ slot port acrylic box, BTW I have 2 CT sounds strato 10s, and they do look alike imo, and although these have very high xmax and most of CT subs are 15 and below

I think it's closer to a wolfram sub rather than a ct sounds sub. I have heard good things about these subs and I have seen a lot of people getting the team subs.

From the movement of the speaker it seems the FS is around 29hz. Around thi frequency it stopped moving. But I guess when it breaks out it will drop to about 26-27

My personal favorite 12-in car sub just the look alone blew every other car sub out the water I'm friends with a lot of good people an companys but I have to say TT technology look up TT-12xmax its a beast there are some videos of this sub it's insane

I'd love to see you do a comparison of the American Bass XR series, I just installed today 2 XR15's still on my current Pioneer gm9701 and still stiff and not pushing them to hard they BUMP! I replaced a (damaged) NVX VCW15 and it bumped pretty good but 2 XR15's wow what a difference. I think I'm done with NVX, I loved the VCW but after 6 months it started making noise I thought I damaged the former I had bottomed it out pretty good once and the former had some slight waves in top but taking it apart it looks as if the bottom spider came loose. This is the 3rd NVX sub one VSW15 I overpowered so that's on me the 2nd VSW the triple joint failed within a week or so and now a VCW spider detachment. Looking at the glue joints theres a white glue is hard and brittle not a surprise it fails and the outer surround adhesive is pretty wimpy looking, it never failed but taking it apart I was easily able to remove it from the basket unharmed just zipped off...and looks like a skim layer of silicone no visible glue jus a shiny layer on the surfaces...I was going to do a $100 OEM recone if NVX ever recovers from covid19 and answers the phone but now prob not I'm either going the $150 PSI recone or buy components from Lord of Bass that be about $50 for dual spiders and 3" flat wound coil n reusing the original cone or $75/80 with a cone, prob get a mega roll cone just for asthetics, the stout flat wire coil should up the power handling little more than its original 1000wrms. Sorry for rambling just ampin on my new subs!

The resilient sub is a copy of ct it looks like. The baskets are cheap on ebay. The motor is exspensive. I love your way of checking all of the sub. Weight, paint job, cone, surround.

I have plenty of experience running the gold subs and they are beast!!! They sound good and play low and musical........ there more on the SQL and can still get down in the spl setup.... it's all in the box tho.

I’m going to buy 3 8 inch subs and I wanted to know if I should get DB Drive ,ds18 , sundown audio, Skar Audio or American bass?

If you have the money go with sundown man they will not disappoint.. I have 2 of the x 8 v3’s and they absolutely slam for 8’s!!!

They have a deal for 2 of these subs and a taramp smart 3k for $620 shipped.

I have one of these in my 2018 Nissan Versa and I'm glad that I went with this choice of sub. I was looking to upgrade from an Image Dynamics IDQ 12 to their IDMAX 12 because I use to have one in a 2015 Toyota Avalon. I didn't want to spend $400 on a sub so I tried looking around at other subs that fell in the same class of specs that were under $300 and remembered a video that I saw last year doing a review on it so I referred back to that video to watch it again and was impressed with it's cosmetics (which it is quite the sexy sub I must say! 🤣) then I went to Amazon to see how much they were going for then it was game over after seeing it being sold for $289!! One of these in a 2.0 cu ft ported box sounds awesome 👍🏾👌🏾👍🏾👌🏾💪🏾💪🏾

@@BudgetBassHead I can only imagine how hard a Platinum series will hit. From what I've been seeing is that they underrate the power handling on their subs. I saw in that same review that I watched where they were saying you can throw 2kW at a Gold series and it will take it easily! If I was 15 years younger when I had my 2005 GMC Yukon I'd throw two Platinum or Gold series 15s in a huge ported box and tear up the block! Lol 😂

@@rogersingh3918 they both have good sound quality...the only difference is that the RS Gold sounds deeper and hits harder compared to the IDQ when used in the same ported box. Not to mention that the RS Gold is rated @ 1kW RMS and the IDQ is rated @ 750W RMS.

Good quality bass sound reproduction even at a lower volume is hard to find. If I could afford 1, I would definitely invest. I also agree that if space is a premium then one good quality efficient sub is best in a car audio setup. It's ok to say that it's double the price but if you have 2spl subs you need to consider that you would also need to have more power available. Also it's kinda like comparing an expensive efficient hi-fi bass speaker to a pro audio setup. As a daily driver I think good clear bass beats loud poor quality bass with the additional cost of a higher powered amplifier. I guess that this would sound fantastic in a 6th order box 👍

Well this design is somewhat an upgraded sundown sa. There is more magnet, 3 inch coil compared to the 2.5 in the sarev3 and 2.75 in the sa 2, double tinsel lead on each terminal,1 inch wider vents more cooling, spacing ring on motor keeping better performance and less distortion than the sa. The sub hits ultra low frequencies with ease also having less fs than any sundown model.. It will do a good job however I think the price is still slightly high

Bro u got the sub i was looking at. For real. A 12 or a 15 gold series. Please try the dayton audio ultimax. Not big but i think its design would match up. I was gonna suggest tymphany but i see u had one.

I got an ultimax 8. It looks beefy but that sucker is optimized for small boxes. I tried to push the limits and it bottomed out. The bigger sizes may be better but I would stay near the factory spec boxes honestly. Peerless sls 5.25 6th order 100 watts slaps decently for a tiny box. I co-sign tymphany and Dayton. You just gotta know how they wanna be used and not push the limits

No no no don’t put one of these in a prefab! It will preform no where near as good as a custom box. If you really want the full potential build or have a box built!

Ok I’m running a single 12 CT Sounds Meso on a Sundown sae v-3 2000d and I do like it but my electrical is at it max I’m now wanting to step down a little on the rms of a sub so my amp can give it more power. I’m eyeing this sub and I think it will do good. My nbox is designed by car audio fabrication for a Tropo 12 it’s 2 cubes and 32 hz what y’all think? Would this sub put out more bass

The RS Gold 12 is not an SPL subwoofer. It has a very soft suspension and isn't as powerful as the MESO

i slowed down the video. the fs looks closer to 29 hertz. it should drop after a few hours of use.

Im thinking about going with 2 12's of the RS "Entry Woofer" 12's.... 500 Watts RMS, 3 inch Voice Coil! with 17mm 1 way Xmax, 130 oz magnet.. for only $134?? After a solid 6 weeks of Researching dozens of subs (all budget or entry leve), I think this has to be the best Subwoofer for under $150 the SKAR SDR beats it on Price, but not in performance.. the RS ENtry is also cheaper than the Sundown E series, DC level 1 etc

My buddy has a meso 18 for 350 barely used. I might get it.

Rs gold will stomp EVL all day and can take same wattage and more than vxf I have 2 platinum 15’s. Great vid bro💪

@@bailey2517 2 VXF 15's could handle an 8k, not balls to the wall but gains set properly and proper enclosure they could. Now would I recommend it? No, for a daily musical build I say 5k that would be the sweet spot.

@@215sinakia7 a vxf 15 cannot play a 4000wrms sine wave. That's what RMS is. Maybe can play it on music for a minute or so but that doesn't count as RMS.

The most affordable and best 220 dollar SQ sub would be Image Dynamics IDQ 10" or 12" ,,,,,,,The best 260 dollar SQ sub would be Alphard Audio Black Hydra HGS-2521 | 10" Subwoofer ...The best 400 dollar SQ sub would be FI Audio Q series.... you can custom build features of it also. thats the ones I have personally dealt with and know are crazy good quality!!!

I agree the hydra is the one. There is alot of subs. Try wetsounds. Seen it in a spl burp truck on youtube. Have u tried EMF? Man i got a list of subs for u.

hippo potamus I had the 3100 series they arent bad but depends what you want to go for, they didnt hit the lows like I wanted and I had a custom spec box for them

Personally I think Resilient Sounds and Wolfram audio are the same. Look at both of those!

They are not the same, they do have very similar parts but the ts parameters are nowhere near close to eachother

Resilient Sounds' quality blows nvx outta the water. the performance is severely underated, i was running RS Gold 12 on 1500w and its rated at 1000.

@@lustmatt4 the nvx is so flexable tho. Its a very musical woofer that has a good bit of x max to keep up with normal music and can go pretty hard flex too. Not a sundown but for the price not bad.. and the ratings are the ratings.
