I love how the older Resident Evils/Biohazards focused more on suspense and tension instead of blood and gore.

LOL I remember how I chuckled at how the MO disc readers look like a GameCube when I played it on that console (it used to be GameCube exclusive way back when). I'm not sure if that was the intention, but I'm glad they kept those graphics if the Remastered version.

I love that they kept the sandwich joke.

Awesome gameplay, and I still feel the horror in this remastered version!

The one game that I know almost inside out yet even on very easy I find it beyond terrifying to play and have a mini heart attack every time a door moves... I wish more horror games these days stuck to this style! (Yes I know I'm a huge wuss but I love the fact a single ps1 zombie can be scary) ^^

Ikr ! Like literally I was just playing it on very easy mode,and thought "it's gonna b a piece of cake" so far...I've only got 3 bullets and least 5 crimson heads scattered around,and the mansion is easily the most confusing place in ALL of RE like srsly im the kinda guy who memorizes places after just a few times no matter hw big it is yet spencers mansion? Nope nt even if I play for hrs hahaha,wow..no wonder RE 1 remake is still the best one outta the bunch even after 22 yrs 😁😄😅

BIOHAZARD (Resident Evil) was truly a survivors game. Growing up in the 90's I remember the game boy resident evil, but never played it only watching friends. My first RE was 1 which I had plenty of sleepless nights playing @ 11 years old. RE 2 dropped and I remember the sheer anxiety of knowing you're about to dive further into the madness. RE 3 was like an encore and only true fans can recall the relentless nemesis but for me it was the idea that JILL is back trying to stay alive, piecing lose ends together and combating with new foes with new moves. I loved the fast pace action and moments of being cornered this game brought. 4 was good but after that Egh =p

I can't believe I'm sooooo lame & frickin board that I'm now watching the remake of a game I fell in love with back in 1996 on my ps one, I would get home from work and pack bowls and play until at least midnight and have to clock in at work by 6am... resident evil was so fricking creepy the grafix and the sound was groundbreaking, I was out of breath sometimes it felt so damn real man I can still remember having the crap scared out of me the only safe place was the savepoints!!! oh yea my girlfriend used to watch me play but she would get so pissed cuz I couldn't put down that controller and dick her to sleep LOL

I saw the Japanese are selling biohazard (resident evil) hd remaster for the ps3, on the psn this game needs about 7.8GB of free space, the Japanese disk version says minimum 1100KB. Maybe someone knows how much disk spaces does the disk version actually need?

haha sounds funny but i guess thats true :D I had to quickly learn the knife tactic vs zombies when i first played as Chris and it was pretty easy if against 1 zombie at a time. Much easier than the original version 1996

I begged my mom to buy me this game when it first came out in 2002 GameCube, me not knowing how fucking scary this game was for a 11 year old, once I found out I did not want that copy case of the game inside my house, I ran back to the store I bought it from n the manager wouldn't take it back, I turned white scared shitless because of this game.

The only Re remake that didn't get fucked up.

Because the developers couldn't put an animation to have them grab the player while on the stairs. Its a way to damage the player without having to grab them.

@@agoldenage9918 im not a big tech guy but the way i remember it being explained was something about the "z-axis", meaning a zombie on the stairs is not on the first floor or the second floor, they are in an in-between area of the map. So when the player and the zombie meet on the stairs, they gave the zombie a separate action, instead of a grab.

@@MrGrace Ok. That is interesting. So the stairs are actually 3D then. I would've thought it was like an optical illusion to make you feel like you move between floors but in reality the floors are on the same plane.

Some of you weren't old enough to recall, but Watching this reminds me of that STUPID ass hoax that my dumb ass fell for when this game first came out... The hoax was that if you fought the spider boss (or was it a moth?)and stepped on ALL the little spiders, friggin Ryu from street fighter would pop up... Lol... Back then there was no immediate social media to help debunk it so many many fuckin spiders got stepped on in MANY attempts for no damn reason lol

I don't like the HD versions they're too clean. Somehting special about older games they have more character. Gamecube version and the Saturn/PS1 version are my favorites.

no one wants to see how fast you are! Show the story line!

Yo man your controls are insane. Try not cheating and play the game normally next time. The real mechanics don't allow for the turns you make and the fast movements in different directions.

watching you whip around with the other controls is no fun when watching survival horror. Unrealistic movement man, it takes you out of the atmosphere and puts your focus on why the hell your character is moving so strangely the whole time. Had to watch someone else on that one. And better than me? Dude I've been beating these games to death since the first one came out on ps1, and your kind of shitty at these games. I only watch yours because I hate commentary. I'm shocked that you had enough time to be butthurt enough to send me two messages though, so thanks for proving on the spot that you're the one that needs to grow up. Have a nice day kid.

You know you can change your name around right? It wasn't always a FNAF thing. Plus, why can't I be a fan of all horror games? Freddy's was a breakthrough and in a way even revived the genre. So many these days are stale knock offs or just lame. I didn't know about the altered controls because I played this one on the original consoles. The only one I play on PC is RE5, so you can imagine someone watching coming from the gamecube version would be a little off put by the whipping around. It makes maneuvering all too easy and takes off the edge of the game. I get you were just doing a run for people to watch for strategy reasons, it was just a little disappointing to see it's become so easy. congrats for not cheating, just keep subtleties in mind next time.
