I really hope they don’t do a lazy collection port and call it a day to say they did it and to stop requesting it. I want them to do what was done with the Tomb Raider collection. Respect the OG games and enhance them for consoles. They deserve it.

It's not to the standard as the sourcenext port, but at least you can apply Gemini's REbirth patch on this gog release to further enhance this port.

The whole point of GOG is to release the games like they were when originally released because it's all about preservation and drm free. Enhancements will have to come from mods.

Theyre definitely going to remake 1. They did the same for RE4 before they made the remake by making a virtual game for occulus

Hopefully it's only a couple months from now it'll be like a silent release on consoles, I did notice that alot of this stuff comes out on PC first before consoles hopefully it's not a year or two later, my main reason for wanting this on current consoles to is because not everybody can afford a PC that's able to run a whole bunch of mods and this that and the other and not everybody has the money to buy the classic consoles and the price tag that comes with the full complete physical edition that people sell, prices are out of control when it comes to physical games because of collectors

Music and atmosphere of the first game is unmatched.

Wow I quit watching the stream to play some Sons of the Forest and came back to watch you run the Chris campaign. Didn’t realize I’d not be watching it live anymore.

these games look so crisp they didn't just port the old games look how nice it looks its not all Pixelated also I never seen the uncut opening before looks so cool these games need to be released on consoles we fans want this to happen do it capcom

ím happy that this port doesn`t have the shitty music from the Dual Shock version.

Hoping the GOG-Trilogy releases work out of the box with no compatibility issues with modern systems and no requirements to mod or tinker. Didn’t care for Doom and DoSBox. Hopefully this the first step to something good. Still waiting on RE2/3 to be on classics store on PlayStation

Sorry I missed the stream. I was playing a 17hr event on a game and i played it from start to finish the whole 17 hours. 😮 And I won. 😏 This brings back memories. The original release was a few months older than me.

I really hope it comes out for Steam.

every RE fan should buy this in order to the support it needs to give it chance to be released on consoles, not just PC, also remaster other classics such as Dino Crisis, parasite eve… amazing work from GoG

I disagree with the take that modders are pirating or how it's frowned upon. REbirth project was wonderfully done and alot of work put in by fans themselves. It presents these classics nicely to newer fans that don't own an old ass Playstation. That being said, we also desperately need them on console. Lol

We've been saying it's okay to release an unfinished product that we'll get the rest of later for fifteen or more years, ever since DLC, patches and season passes became a norm. This at least isn't full price, and you can pay for the contents separately and have three completed products when you want them. If you'll pay for anything modern at $60-$70 and then pay $20-$30 for a season pass but $25 for this is too much, you're focused on bitching at the wrong people.

Does this have a seamless HD mod? Because I didn't notice one and it won't go any higher than the vanilla settings for me. I didn't notice any options to change

Two things: Miss the hell out of this game. I just bought the trilogy through GOG and died within the first half an hour And I completely forgot to use any of my ink ribbons... Needless to say now I have to start it all over again. But got pretty far considering. Haven't played this game in so long. But that's not the thing, the first thing is I noticed the super choppy video compared to the original. Other than that the gameplay is great and you can actually skip any of the stitching scenes of walking at the steps or going through a door. Looks great! The other thing is, I remember buying Resident Evil 3 through GameStop and getting a digital code. GameStop completely screwed me and it was only limited DRM, so I could only download it a few times before it was rendered not mine anymore. Complete horseshit! I bought it outright and they told me it wasn't mine after downloading it a few times because of either having to switch computers or completely reinstalling windows. I'm still pissed off at GameStop for that BS. However now it's mine forever when it comes out. Along with the first and second ones. Super excited to go back through this one and finish it with both characters. Excited even more for the sequels and hopefully they do the extra stuff for Resident Evil 2 and 3 like they did for the console versions. But I'm not holding my breath. These are probably all vanilla versions where you have to unlock all of the costumes by doing special things.
