Finding one extinct animal is enough to put your name in the history books.. Forest was able to find MULTIPLE previously thought to be extinct animals alive and well.. His goal was to show people and scientists alike that nature is far my resilient than we give it credit for and the process we use to label an animal extinct just because we haven’t seen it in a while or only saw it once is ridiculous. He truly accomplished his mission and went further beyond his expectations and I’m sure his Grandfather would be very proud of him.

The minute the fishermen got a few dollars and the cameras left, these guys went right back to catching and keeping any and every shark they caught, including any more specimens of Pondicherry Shark. This is a very poor place and if anyone really thinks they are not keeping any shark, including Pondicherry Sharks, they are only fooling themselves. It's a reality for extremely poor nations and people will do whatever they have to do to feed themselves and their families.
