Fitting the number plate, a prime example of a 5 min job taking 2 days! We've all been there! Cheers Adam for always keeping the content real for us "lads with a garage" 👍
Adam, its refreshing to see somebody so relatable restoring a car on youtube. I love the mantra, "just having a go", words to live by. Keep it up!

Pretty sure the copper grease on the mating surface of the disc was done to avoid corrosion between it and the wheel. It wasn’t on the friction surface 👍
You go way beyond a general DIY guy. The content and presentation is spot on. So refreshing to see this not only being brought back to life but in its standard form looks.

Don't forget to check the rear number plate lights prior to the MOT.

He didn’t list them but you can see the reflection 👍
Fixing the rear lights took me back. I had a 2.0 GLSi back in the day. Those little pins were a nightmare 😊. Really miss that car.
Great Video 👍 I love watching you getting this back to mint condition.
Great video on the cossie you got tonnes done and like you say Adam it’s nearly mot ready looking forward to the next video
Always look forward to the next video update on this thing. You’ve smashed it so far Adam well In bud. Fingers crossed for the MOT
I recommend Lanoguard if you want to protect any metal from rusting especially moving parts such as wishbones and drop links, its easy to apply too and protects from surface rust

Adam did Lanoguard his other Cossie a year or two ago. Would be good to get an update on his thoughts on durability etc
Hi Adam, really good to see you working on your car, keep up the great work, hopefully you will get your car sorted, thanks for sharing.
Absolutely loving these videos mate. 👍
copperslip on the mounting face of the disk stops the ally wheel oxidising and sticking to the hub

Yup was gonna say same thing. I always put a thin smear on as on some motors the wheels can be a pain to remove otherwise.
This car is a real credit to you Adam and all your hard work. Great job!
Nice work man 👏 loved the wee workaround on the boot lock, no messing about 😁👍
This was so satisfying to watch... Especially the boot lock. Great work Adam
Class Adam loving this build, good luck with the m.o.t mate 🤞
Awesome content Adam, massive fan of the Cossie, great job 👍
Loving this series, doing a great job 👍🏼
You’re genuine persona is very humbling. Smashing content. I’m hooked.
Yet again Adam, youve cracked it. Love the content and hate it when youre finished 😢😢
You should make up merch with the slogan 'just avin a go'. Instant hit. Loved this build mate. Really relateable. Nothing with beat the episode where you changed the steering wheel and the horn kept blasting. Thats the funniest thing ive ever seen on YT 😂😂.
Great work Adam!
I think i fallen in love with you 😂😂😂 been watching this series and its been brilliant. I had a white e plate saph around 2006/7 and it was similar state to when you got this so it brings back great memories. Keep it up Adam
It’s passed its MOT bois 🤙🏻 congrats Adam on all the work you did to get it to that point, can’t wait to see future videos of this beast 👌🏻
Awesome stuff once again buddy. She lives

Excellent progress mate good luck for the MOT
Loving the lucky blow on the rear light connector 😂 great video matey 👌
Great stuff Adam, keeping it real as ever.
You are doing a great job here 👍👍👍
Great work, you seem like a humble fella
Loving the vids, finding them well handy for my Sapphire. I could see now how easy a rear disc conversion would be. I'd say when putting copper slip on brakes you only need a small amount on contact areas. Cheers
Great bit of tinkering there.....nice rewarding little jobs all sorted......
Made me lmao that plate screw was clearly burning hot but you went in for a second and a third go at grabbing it 😂 keep the updates coming I'm looking forward to seeing some burnouts when it's done! 😊
Adam, like your videos great content. I especially like that you don't have annoying music in the background like some others do👍
Can’t get enough of these videos mate.
Really enjoying your journey mate 👍
Awsome job done👍
Tht bootlock fix was genius mate, cant wait to see it finished 👌
This Sapphire is looking amazing now Adam, best wishes for the MOT 😊.
Even the most mundane stuff is quite captivating lol. Enjoying all the videos.
Love watching your videos adam
In regards the exhuast tip on the bumbper i had the same issue in my Bentley so i got a kit which had some metal mesh plates that fitted around the exhuast cut on the plastic!
Great video again mate. Dunno if you'll see this comment, but you're pretty much correct with the rear view mirror, as a windscreen fitter, we use proper mirror pads to stick them on. Happy to post a few out to you if you can contact me. But that tape will probably be sound. The most important thing is exactly what you've done in cleaning the mirror and mounting point on the glass. Little tip is to grease the ball and socket joint of the mirror. It'd usually adjusting a stiff mirror that ends up pulling them off the glass. Anyway, top work. Very jealous of such a cool project. Keep it up
When you got the boot lock working I was expecting a big old “magic” lol. Keep up the good work Watching from edmonton Alberta canada
Love it brilliant work
Almost there 👌🏻👏🏻😎
Cracking video Adam I really enjoyed it
Fantastic video Adam 👏
Copper grease was put on the hub/disc to stop the wheel seizing on the hub.
I would’ve done the painting and shot blasting off the wheel hubs saves doing it twice when you have already got it off😊
24:26, you can buy the rear view mirror stickers in Halfords.
Awesome Adam! Yellow euro fog lenses would look boss on this 👍🏻
I allways use silacone grease on my disk pads and caliper etc. The copper grease only minimizes the pads noise but it will help corrode that pads and surounding areas alot faster. With silacone grease it wont actually attract any moisture so pafs etc will live a ling life
love your vids adam, number plate issue you can use counter sunk screws as they fit in screw caps better, the number plate tape is exactly the right thing for mirror, nice fix on boot catch mate, good luck with mot!
Nice improvisation for the boot lock!
This car is brilliant this car is defo worth doing the underneath next year fella👌🏻
Top video mate - production values really professional…👍
Nice number plates. You could stick some soft pads on the back of them so it stops the plates from bowing when you press in the middle and ends of the plates. Coming on now and why did you not paint the back of the rear wheel hub carriers. When they were off the car. It just looks odd having new backplats, then rusty hub carriers and all new rear brakes?

He explains that in the video….?
You need to get yourself a set of digital vernier callipers Adam ! Makes measuring things a lot more accurate than a screwdriver & measuring tape. Also really handy for measuring bolt diameters & drill bits.
Love your vids, well in👍
Methodically working your way through it mate 👍
great content👌 greetings from switzerland
Those little jobs are the most satisfying to do! Good luck car for your MOT 😁👍
Nice one!. Nuff said. 🙂
Coming together now adam 👏
Love the project binky approach to numberplate screws, you’ve got more patience than me fella

Need to do the brake guards on the rear of my golf . Good luck with the mot
Hi Adam absolutely love ur content uve come so far and ur doing brilliant , i had a white sapphire cosworth F450 KEC wen i was 20 years old I'm now 39 , i paid 3600 for it and although I've had several other cosworths after this 1 i wish I'd of kept my 1st 1 but i sold it to pay for my hgv licence don't even know if its still on the road now
if i ever get the chance this is on my bucket list to do fingers crossed
That's what I like to see, a good dollop of copper grease!!! 😉
Doing brilliant with this adam small wins always feel massive lol.....for your front fogs i always run a lower rating bulb fogs are 55w? So i put 10w in my gte/sri ect them look like 4 side lights ect more style drl ect ....doubt this be out in heavy fog lol cops never botherd me either
I super glued a washer on my boot look when I had this problem was on a Orion I think or standard sierra lol
“How hard can it be … “ hehe ace attitude … 😁👍
Ford supplied specific double sided pads back in the day for fixing mirrors to windscreens. Hot weather with direct sunlight could sometimes cause you to end up with a mirror in your lap particularly if the adjustment ball had stiffened up.
What’s the crack with the wildlife in the background lol class video mate keep it up
Glad you changed it so both number plate screw caps were white. Little Suprised you didnt just wirebrush and paint the Hub while it was off tho! Top Video all the same!

Good luck with the test mate. Car has come on a long way from when you bought it as a tired bit of a dog. Keep the standard wheels on it 😉
Great video mate , don't want to say to much but the online miles seem of , car vertical would have a field day 😂😂😂
it past the mot nice one 👍🏼 get it taxed & back out on the road 👌🏽👍🏼
I had the exact same issue with my boot lock. Wouldn't push out far enough. So I bought a new boot lock off ebay, only issue is i have a different key for the boot.
Screw plastic weather protection caps them little flappy things are called Adam my mate haha.....!! And by the way, I love all your your videos, very entertaining....
It's like watching a magician when u work on the cozy mate mind blowing 😂😂
Like the boot lock fix
Love it
Good lads
“Clag it” to the windscreen That’s a real North East saying Adam 👍😁
Well done way getting it mot
Adam. Can you put some spot weld on the boot lid button. Then file it off flat to the correct thickness needed ?
5:49 no not at all. These small efforts add up in the end! Adam you are methodical and I'd not hesitate to recommend you if you were selling a car. 24:34 JB Weld.
Good luck with the MOT.
Another awesome video , what impact gun do you use ?
Nice work Adam, Is that a set of Hockenheims I spot lad?
