I've gotten used to seeing foster kittens who are intensely orphaned, so seeing their momma playing with them and looking happy and healthy herself is so wonderful!

It's telling that she hasn't even begun to grow out of being a kitten yet when she's quick to socialize with them. Spaying at the first sign of your little girl becoming a woman is the only real way to keep your girl kittens safe from a painful and sometimes complex pregnancy

Mhm, thoroughly agree! My current kitty (in my pfp) was apparently a young momma as well, before I adopted her. Luckily, she's fixed and settled in her forever home now~ I feel like kittens in shelters often get a lot more attention, so I have to toss some love to the adult cats, too.

I hope he's okay. I lost one of my cats to chronic constipation and bowel blockages 😢 even though he had lots of moist food mixed with pumpkin. It was so horrible to watch him struggle.

I lost a cat to the same thing. The vet couldn’t determine why she was blocked but told me she was too weak to survive surgery. One of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make.

LET GO OF HIS LITTLE NUGGETS OH NOOOO!! AHHHHH!!!. My cat one time was constipated and i felt her tummy and it felt full. i made an appointment and sure enuough, she was very constipated and full of poo! she got an enema and she was a very very angy baby. I will never forget the betrayal in her eyes when they returned my baby LOL. She was all better and she is still healthy to this day

I saved my cat when he was like a week old or something. Eyes still not opened and no teeth. He was constipated for a while, the vet recommended to try castor oil, which we did feed him. Late at night, he started squeaking, I put him on my chest and he shitted all over me.

I found a 3 month or so old kitten at a park. Likely a farm kitten someone dumped because he had lots of ear mites but was not wild at all. He raced down the middle of the road straight at my truck as soon as he saw me. Little fellow had poops so bad they had developed into anal seepage but he still kept playing and jumping like nothing was wrong. Lots of appetite. Ends up he got Giardia from likely the slow moving creek that passes through the park 😢 luckily my other two cats, nor I, caught it. So sad someone rated him a garbage kitty. He is the sweetest little guy with so many cuddles and little lion personality

@@feuerling thanks. He's doing great. It's a bit more expense than I needed in my life at the moment but he's a wonderful little fellow. All 3 of my current "garbage" cats that people threw away are full of uniqueness and personality. I almost got put in the position of having to help a 4 month old last night. Luckily someone else was willing to take the abandoned kitten home. I saw on social media they turned the little one into the shelter. Was a real sweetheart of a Calico so I'm hopeful they find a caring home soon

With how common these kinds of problems are, I count a friend of mine very lucky. She has 3 girls and agreed to look after her mums male cat for a week. She was told he was neutered. He wasn't. He got all 3 of her cats pregnant. 10 weeks later she had 12 kittens on her hands. Thankfully it's been all smooth sailing, not a single problem and they're all going to their new homes this week ❤
