Rescued by a Celebrity & Camping at Rainbow Springs State Park, Florida

This is the continuation of our stormy tubing ride down the Rainbow River, and as luck would have it, we're saved by a famous radio star! Finally we’re able to get off of the Rainbow River, hang up our tubes, and pull up in our van at our nice campsite at the Rainbow Springs State Park campground. After all the danger, we have a pizza dinner made by the fire! This is definitely a crazy experience we will never forget and we’re happy to share it with you. Thanks for watching!

    Wow! What a coincidence!! 😮 It was a great spot right along the Rainbow River that really saved us. Gary was such a cool guy. We couldn't believe we ran into him like that. You must have some great memories there! ✨

    That was really nice of him letting you stay on his porch. What a small world to run into a famous person in your time of need. Rainbow River is so much fun! Every camping trip we did this summer, we experienced rain. We were in a tent through 🤦‍♀️

    I know! We were so surprised. At first we were thinking, is he really a famous radio personality? And then when we looked him up we were so surprised! Ugh the rain is crazy sometimes. We still have to get a better tent after ours leaked so bad when we were in The Keys. It's nice to listen and enjoy the rain but not when it's raining inside on you! 😂

    All I heard was "Gary" and "you were on the radio in Cincinnati" and I knew it had to be Gary Burbank. I listened to him for years in the afternoon on the drive home from work. You should Google him, he was a wonderfully talented and funny radio personality. A beloved Cincinnati staple for decades. Glad I found your channel. edit: Aaaaand of course I write my comment before finishing the video. Ha!

    Rainbow river park is awesome.. we've been at least 4 times, but one time was floating the 4hr!!!! from KP hole behind the Winn Dixie. It poured rain on us for about 20mins then cleared up nicely. I shed some time off by getting off the tube with fins and became a human boat motor because 4hrs is a lonnnnng time. Had a good relaxing time anyways. Thanks again for another video, looking forward to seeing the next one. Have a great weekend 😎👍🏼

    We understand what you mean! With floating, you kinda have to just let it all go and just, well, float. We'd prefer kayaking or paddling as well! You can put in your own vessel from the state park and there's also a park nearby that rents them. Love your page. You two really seem to have fun. How do you get drone flight permissions in the State and National Parks? Any help is appreciated.

  • @PSAdventures

    @PSAdventures

    Жыл бұрын

    Thanks for the love Mark! On the drone question, you can't fly drones in National Parks. It's not worth the risk so definitely don't do that. National Forests are a little more of a grey area depending on if they're managed by the US Forest Service or the National Park system. For state parks we actually don't fly them from the park. Every state is also different so you'll have to check their rules. Also we have a Part 107 license since we're filming for commercial purposes. It's a great idea to get your Part 107 license and worth all of the things you'll learn when you get that. We love Pilot Institute for the course. I hope that helps!

    Wow! Thank you so much for the love Leonel! ❤️ That's exciting that you guys are looking around for vans. When we were looking we knew we wanted a Ford Transit. Ours is a 2016 Ford Transit Long wheel base with a high roof. 🚐 There's three lengths: Short, Long, and Extended so we have the middle one. There's also three roof heights: short, mid, and high roof which we have the high roof. It's a gasoline engine that doesn't have AWD. When we had originally looked at ordering a van we were planned on geting the extended version with AWD but then found our van that was already built. With that said, it might help a lot to go to RVShare.com and rent a van similar to what you want to make sure you like the way it feels. You can also test drive others like the Ram Promaster or Mercedes Sprinter on dealer lots to make sure. We hope that helps! Let us know if you get one! 🎉🎉🎉
