Congratulations to Mika, well designed truck! I hope the next challenge will be of similar size. The time we had for this one was quite limited, especialy with all the functionality that was added. Was quite fun on the Discord Server with all the others though 😉

I do think people have a tendency to go overboard with these challenges. The Merc and Scania, however, felt very grounded within the purpose of the challenge and IMO have far more playability and user-friendly functionality than other creations, though there were some other great submissions as always. I do love the smaller creations though, it's nice to see a simple ambulance or pickup amongst the titans.

@Scp mtf omega 7 Team leader it's a 6x6 MB Actros firetruck built by Rosenbauer. It's used by the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF). it's built for firefighting in rough warzone conditions.

These are all good creations but Fuel Efficiency is like that kid that everyone bullies.

Indeed!

With the upcoming release to 1.0 why not a starter creation to get the new guys coming into the game started. A boat/vehicle that can be spawned with what you start with plus research points you get to start with. Capable of 30km range, carrying 3 cargo boxes. research points get you something else to add like a winch or sensors.

Another great video :) Would love to see more tutorials on helicopters. I am struggling to get the gearing and blade count right - at the moment I have a helicopter that even with neutral blades likes to take off by itself :|

Adam H AH! Right! Yeah something like that may help. I would love tutorial on dealing with steam powered engines because once I get this game I plan to create the HMS Warrior but because it’s a steam powered ship I need to know how to use a steam engine (to be accurate how to safely use a boiler, how to connected it to a piston to power a shaft to the propeller. Then I have to manage 10 boilers to power 2 pistons and then somehow connect to 1 shaft if I want to accurately recreate the power of the ship)

I like the Scania mobile command center and the Mercedes military truck the most but I also like every other creation

Very sad to see the fireflash was not featured was my favourite by a mile

I’m wondering if any of the ones submitted used tank tracks? As I remember when this was announced it was a question but none of the top 10 have tracks.

I can recall at least three submissions that had tracks, one was an armored recovery vehicle, one was an arctic truck, and one was a rescue-bulldozer type thing.

On 20:21 he says it looks like a military truck and indeed it is it is a dutch military firetruck for keeping safe the military baseses emergency area's. So that makes it my favourite.

To be honest, for new players, Ares was a better choice. It's odd looking, I won't deny that, but it's plain simpler and easier to use. It does have as many features as the others and it's amphibious! It was a shame that it wasn't choosen :/ One extra argument pro-Ares: less blocks + less movable blocks = better in server performance.

I'm preatty sure the ares has a hydrofoil system. I belive it takes a lot of movable blocks for that too.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked the ares too (like any of RedParadize's creations. I wish he rebuilt the orion in advanced mode and with screens, etc.).

@@JustaNormalGuy115 Actually, the hydrofoil is just 2 small control fins behind the wheels. The vehicle is so tiny and compact for the number of its features, even the hydrofoil is too lol

A submarine building contest would be cool. My subs are always bland, lame, and horribly inefficient, lol.

Yes, I've driven it. Gets up to 95 KMH in water and 240 on land (personally, the Ares is my #1 pick)

I love how you were ok with the first creation this time with PRND and a parking brake but you said the first one last video was “a mAnUaL”. You also said that with the ambulance. How lazy are you that you can’t put it into drive AND YOU DON’T EVEN SEE THE SCREEN FOR IT! Sorry for a bit of a rant but you didn’t care about it for the first creation but complained about the ambulance.

6:07 - he comments that the suspension is set up well despite there being no suspension. Similarly when driving the winner of this challenge he says something to the effect of the steering being twitchy but later says he cant fault it on its driving ability. Also, throughout the whole video, counting "works really well offroad" as driving on some gently sloped grass, while not wrong is hardly any different to on road in stormworks. I know this may sound like hate but its not supposed to be. It's just some observations i found amusing. Im actually thankful a content creator is creating this level of community engagement rather than screaming into a mic and spamming megalodons.

I have just gone back to the original video (the announcement) on the video he just says it has to be automatic, not manual and the same in the Discord sever “***Rules are as follows:*** **1. Must be a land vehicle only. No Boats/Planes/Helicopters/VTOL/Trains. 2. Must be built inside a Train Build Area. 3. Must have Communication Radio. 4. Must have Diesel Engine with Gearbox with Clutch and Idle feature. *(All Automatic)* Reverse can be toggled but the clutch and gear changing must be all automatic! 5. Must have Emergency Lights. 6. Must have Front & Rear Wheel Drive, Minimum of 4 Wheels. *(Tracks are allowed)* 7. Must have Seats for at least 4 people. 8. Must be uploaded to Workshop after the start date of the challenge.** Everything else is allowed, no limits. **Modded Windows are allowed for this challenge!**”
