Why do people insist on buying and selling non-domesticated animals? Thank you for rescuing these two!

Honestly even domesticated ones should not be sold. They should be adopted as many need a loving home.

How do you think animals became domesticated in the first place?

I’m so glad that Winky found her way to this sanctuary and that she has a wonderful companion. She may be dominating Dobby, but I think he’s helping her trust their caregivers.

Happy that those two foxes found each other and the effort the rescue lady puts in to make their life better. Very unhappy that there are so many breeders, wild animal dealers out there who find their customers. More laws against this!

Yeah, it's really worrying that that's apparently an industry?? 😬 Can only imagine how many non-domesticated species are being sold for domestic pets and ending up in completely inappropriate care situations... Glad there are some good rescue organisations, just wish they were not so needed.

I hope the people selling wild animals get caught and are forced to stop. As cute and amazing as these two are it sickens me that breeding is going on. Thank God for these rescuers.

Winkie and Dobbie are just too precious!! I love their squeaks and their huge ears. so glad that they are together. WILD ANIMALS SHOULD NOT BE KEPT AS PETS. ALL WILD ANIMALS NEED TO STAY IN THE WILD.

@@billjoe39 I googled it. Easy peasy. Animal Tracks is a woman-run, non-profit sanctuary in California for exotic pets that are rescued from horrible conditions---usually the illegal pet trade. Animal Tracks does not sell these animals. The sanctuary is their forever home, safe from abuse and neglect, and they work to educate the public about these animals that are never supposed to be pets.

@@bonniebob2802 Yes, they are 'canids' but their young are called 'kits', not 'pups', and this particular species of foxes (fennecs) are the tiniest.

Wow what a great job you're doing for these naturally wild animals. I don't understand people who "adopt" a wild animal and expect them to be tame like domestics without socializing them. You have to do it for dogs and cats too! Anyway, that's why there are so many rescues like this wonderful rescue we see here.

So glad you have a place for them. Wild animals should never be in homes as pets!! They are WILD and meant to be free not captive and bred for pets. So glad these two have each other and someone to take care of them as they should be since they would not survive in the wild thanks to these horrible breeders trying to make a buck.

Thank you for adding the text on the screen about their being terrible pets. People need to realize that most animals belong in their natural habitats and not in a cage for our pleasure

I love the ears! When I saw this fox for the first time about 15+ years ago, I desperately wanted one! I did my research, found out that they do not make good pets - my conscience also knew that it was ethically wrong to make a wild animal my pet like this. I ended up getting a Papillion dog instead! Just in love with the ears! That sweet angel baby was my sole dog for 14 years, and she passed away in June 2022. I had a dream about her 2 days ago. She visits me all the time. ❤

YES, we all get that they are wild and do not belong domesticated, but the love given to them by their caretaker DOES make them her own perfect 'furbabies' despite their wild status. You're not the only one who sees the wrong in what happened to them, but they ARE precious in the eyes of so many of us and who think this woman is a saint for her efforts in rescuing and giving them quality of life.

Fennec Foxes are so cool. And thank you for pointing out that they don't make good pets, people can be ridiculous. They don't understand that wild animals can be made familiar with and friendly with people, but that doesn't change the fact that they are still a wild animal.
