I agree with you and I would do exactly the same thing but with a good amount of experience with CPR and first aid and treat the bus driver as much as possible by taking his vital signs such as his blood pressure his heart rate his pulse and his respiration but also having someone go over the bio phone and relay the information of the patient and his vital signs to the doctor at the hospital, and if he prescribes appropriate medication I’ll take care of it by giving him an IV and giving him the proper medication that was prescribed by the doctor and then the principal would arrive and see me using my experience in emergency first aid and medical training to treat the patient, then once the paramedics arrive they check to see if I’ve done the IV correctly and then once they’re ready to get him to the hospital I would also jump in the back of the ambulance with one of the other students that would have my medical gear and we would ride with the paramedics in the ambulance all the way to the hospital and help bring him into the emergency room etc, once they see that I did all the work they would award me in recognition of saving the life of the my bus driver

If that's true, I wonder if it's because people with ADHD - whether child or the more calmer adult version - generally have lots of things going on in their head at once, so when things go crazy on the outside, it's something they're already used to in their heads.

I grew up in the late 50s/60's/ early 70's, and we did not have commercials for prescription medications, only medicines that were over the counter like Vicks Vap-o-Rub or Hall's Cough Drops or Bayer Aspirin. We didn't even have Tylenol back then. I remember seeing the first commercial for a prescription drug about the late 90's or soon after. I was shocked ... it had been illegal for them to advertise...but then the law changed and Big Pharma companies could really start raking in the big money. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against a company making money, the last thing in the world we need is communism, but something about the way Big Pharma works with the drug reps going into doctors offices and handing them vacation vouchers for the doctor writing out a script for the 'latest and greatest'.

I have always been ready to do that just in case. I feel very confident that I can drive a full sized school bus from watching, chatting with the driver, and just being a natural driver. Also, in our school district they teach you to go for the E brake and not mess around with the pedals, but I would first adapt to the situation, like in this situation. Just throwing on the E brake headed straight for that pole would just lock the wheels taking away your ability to steer and turning the wheel really hard when applying it could possibly cause the bus to tilt. With his foot on the gas like that I would have steered for a good straight path and then do the E brake rather than messing around down by the pedals taking my eyes off the road while accelerating hard at a high speed.

and it's also not that it's a learning disability, it's that the system, especially in the US, isn't made to help kids, it's to make all the same meat puppets. The system is the problem not the kids.

I remember taking that bus everyday, they would drop off the high school kids at school first then go to the middle school. I wasn't on the bus at the time it happened I was at the high school. But I remember those two kids that went to both of the high school and middle school was highly bullied by other kids even myself and my sister was highly bullied and the bus driver was so nice and the kids have him a very hard time I'm surprised he didn't have a heart attack from the stress they gave him. And the kids that was saying nice things about them that was just an act to make themselves look good on camera cause after this happened they went back to bullying and giving the bus driver a hard time then he quit.

I’m 15 years old. And I’m like Kenny. Because I like to help people to. Like for example I helped my friend. Who is also named Ben. He was having a seizure in the middle of class. Last Friday. My teacher was talking to us. And I saved Ben’s life. Buy calling the teacher over. But he told me to stop talking because he thought I was interrupting the class. So I quickly went out of the classroom and called the ambulance. And the police station is right next to my middle school. So they came so fast. And they took him to the hospital. And I hope he is doing better now. But I’m so proud that I saved him from making his seizures worse
