This is amazing. The VHS tracking info at the beginning...it's like I'm looking back in time! It's just like my old copy!!! In 1997 I was going through a difficult infatuation with an incredibly beautiful cheerleader, who looked a lot like Saffron. To me, at least. And I was pretty sure she was the most attractive woman I would ever see. Nothing has changed my mind since then. I had been working out alot that summer of 97'. And I had this concert on VHS tape. I worked out to Republica and the Prodigy. Over and over and over. I wonder if Saffron knows how many times I used her to torture my broken heart?

Just got their CD for 99 pence. Best small change spent in a while! Saffron is hotter than all the catwalk chicks. Her accent is to die for. :-)

Republica is one of the few bands that have autentic 90s essence and sound for pop music, appart from the well known out-selled artists... yep, I love Saffron :3

I remember seeing them play "Ready to Go" live on Nickelodeon on "The Big Help" in either 1996 or 1997. I remember thinking they were awesome but I didn't catch their name. I didn't find out until a couple years later but I heard their songs countless times in between. It's a shame that they were so short lived. I wonder if anyone still has that performance on tape somewhere.

They were unfortunately for them. Competing in the charts back then with, similar bands like Garbage and The Prodigy (Saffron sang on one of their tracks btw) for an example.

How Republica is not a more famous band in incredible to me. How come they only have like 2 video clips?

Saffron shoulda modeled some in her prime years.. she had the look for it. I see her doing Playboy or the SI swimsuit magazine honestly really well, she had the look and personality to be a really solid flirty model.

Whoever thought having models on a runway to look at while a rock band is giving their all on a stage was good idea - madness! Which way do you look? Must have been as disheartening for the bands as it was the models and fashion designers...
