Seems like Republic has a new fleet team in place at corporate and I can't complain about what they've been up to. Sending trucks across the country, dropping Autocar and Rapid Rail (at least in most places). Really nice to see them buying relatively interesting equipment in so many places. This was awesome to watch too. Great sounding truck and it looks amazing in Republic colors. Curious what the reasoning was behind them deciding to send the truck all the way to Arizona but really like that. Good job on the video!

Agreed, my trip to Sedona last month I saw that DuraPack RR on the freeway AND a 520 Python headed to the north yard's contract area. Definitely odd they'd move it to the Phoenix area (and not even their main yard) but no complaints since Tristan kills it in this truck. Nobody else wants to drive it, so it'd likely be a spare otherwise.

Garbage Trucks AZ if that’s the case tell them to send it back to Minnesota 😂 I’d take it over our MRU ZR’s and mini LR M/A’s any day!

interesting they put it on recycle when even New Way recommends for their Rotopacs that this is not a good fit for recycle especially with lots of cardboard

Yeah, it's a circumstance of logistics here. This neighborhood is wayyyyyy off the beaten path but near a rural transfer station. It makes more sense to do trash, dump it down the road, then do recycle and bring it back to the MRF near the yard.

Is this the same route you filmed the slamming python on? Poor rotopak can’t even be put on a route it can handle, dang Republic, I’m happy they’re keeping some of the trojes trucks around though. What does trash? And are the AZ yards getting ZRs? Great video, hope to see more content

No, that neighborhood has been RAD for a few years now. Honestly impressed you remember that since it didn't get its own video lol. Tristan here only does recycle the second half of Wednesdays, rest of the time its on trash. They're right next to the transfer station (10 minutesish) and about 45 minutes from the MRF, so all the trucks do trash and come back for recycle to bring back to Mesa. Yeah, the truck one neighborhood over was actually a 520 ZR. Not sure if the main Phoenix yard is buying new ASLs right now, they just bought two new 520 McNeilus RLs. The north phoenix yard is buying 520 Heils of the DuraPack RR and Python variety ;) Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.
