for 80% yes! But it has some different stuff and mechanics and its a little easier I think to manage a town.

@@PatmosIV The more goods a colony requires, the more difficult in becomes to manage, if you ask me. I dropped Anno 1800 before I could even build everything there, simply because it became to much of hurdle to manage everything. It felt like a second job at some point. Does this game have a story, like Anno had, or is it just a sandbox?

True! This game is a little simpler in that aspect. You have a story mode and freeplay. But it is still heavy under development. So not everything is possible yet. But from what I have seen, there are quite a few sandbox maps etc too.

@@PatmosIV Thanks for the clarification! Story mode (even as cheesy as in ANNO) for me personally is more interesting, as it gives some sense of a purpose in a game. Sandbox gets old, once one gets a grip of all game mechanics.
