Oh Rachael!! I literally stopped breathing when you were pulling the Alocasia out of the pot 😅I imagined it suddenly coming out with great force and the soil flying all over your beautiful house and you! 😱🫣That happened to me once,I had soil all over myself the floor,it was so messy 😮 I just stripped my donkey tail as they are so challenging to repot, as you know,I think this video was for me,as they have been sitting in the bucket waiting for me to deal with them. Loved this content and you didn’t end up with dirt all over yourself. Can’t wait for the update. 💚💚🪴 Natalie

Every watering day/repot, I make a big mess, no matter how I try to prepare the space. That's what vacuums are for, right? Nice to see your Stingray -- I just love that plant! That stem/base/trunk is HUGE on the Regal Shield!

Thank you, GH! 😊 you are right. All I did was pull out the vacuum cleaner and let it drink up all of this soil. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. This stingray is next. I just fave it a new pot, but I have to water it every two days now. It's the season! I'm not mad about that. Have a good night!

You are a champ for repotting this. it's difficult to keep going when you have a bigger plant collection, especially when we have a project we are dreading. i currently have multiple lol. it's so rewarding after it's done though!

Yes, I agree with you. The reward in the end is motivating to keep in going, but it's hard to get started. The top cut of my Regal Shield is pushing the leaf out so quickly. It's fighting for life! So exciting! ❤️

Great repotting video! Watering through or just a little water 50/50

They look so pretty when you don't ever, ever, EVER touch them. If something hits them, they shed. Watering them too hard makes them shed. Just forget about it if you are clumsy like me. Argh!

Love this video ! I have a really big Alocasia Regal shield as well . I have been thinking about what I want to do with it cause it's so big. Not sure if I will repot it this season or wait till next year but it's 3-4 plants in 1 pot and I think I should separate them.😅
