REPOST - Every Day Doug Plays Connections 06/19 (New York Times Puzzle Game)

I'm Every Day Doug and I play puzzle games every day!
Connections is an engaging word game from the New York Times. Presented with 16 words, you are challenged to find "connections" among four groups of four words each.
If you've read this far, perhaps I can press my luck and let you know about some of the other places you can find me!

'I wandered lonely as a cloud'. Beautiful poem by William Wordsworth, contains the line 'a host of golden daffodils.'

After Frodo and Sam awaken and are brought forth: "But on the field where they now stood a great HOST was drawn up, in ranks and companies glittering in the sun. And as the Hobbits approached swords were unsheathed...trumpets sang...men cried with many voices: 'Long live the Halflings! Praise them with great praise!'"

I got them in the same order you did. Saw the yellow and green categories easily enough. The purple category I got as things associated with Fortune Telling (after some thought) and that was close enough. But the light blue category I had no clue on (things associated with yachting, maybe?) I was way off but saw the connection after it was revealed. I think the confusion was, I don't normally hear the word "drove" in the singular when it comes to multitudes (seems hard puzzles come in droves on this channel). But the other three, yes, when I thought about it.

I usually play at 9 pm. When I opened it and read the words, I felt my brain splat against a wall. So I went to bed. After looking at it afresh this AM, I thought for sure I'd fail. I looked at cars minusna letter, aura and for. Nope. I tried for words plus a d, woo, see, date, prod. I was one away. This saved me! I found the dating category. I tried acronyms, red herring. Then I puzzled out the purple, thank you Harry potter! Blue came next and yellow last. I couldn't belive I got it!

My first guess was Tarot, Palm, Aura, and Woo (thinking that the connection was woo woo stuff), but got straightened out with Tea (I was thrown by "tea" rather than "tea leaves" as well), so I got Purple first, then yellow, green, blue. Seemed pretty straightforward today. Also: your first guess was Skittles! (one of each color). In our family, that's the best wrong answer you can get. :-) How are you able to see the puzzles ahead of time? I'd been wondering how you managed to post your vids right after midnight.

Got them all today. Green, Yellow, Blue (puzzling out drove then pack gave me that one) then soon as I saw all the purple together the link was obvious 😊

A host of angels, a sea of fans, a pack of wolves, a drove of cattle.

After I finally got over the category not being "cards" I got the last two groups. It was tough today. My mind kept saying: palm, tarot, push, host (all cards).

Agree it's tea leaves that are read not tea.

Got 'em except for the Blue. It was the last category but didn't see the connection.

🟢🟣🔵🟡 It was really tough that I spent about 20 minutes solving that today, but still got perfect. Tarot cards are one of the divination objects, so I based on that to find out the purple category. The most interesting part I thought, was the word drove, the past tense of the verb, drive, could also be a large group.
