RePLAY, ReLIVE, ReCREATE - Community Engagement through Sports
How do you inspire through Sports?
In an effort to reinforce the Rebuilding, Reconstruction or Development Phase of communities affected by Typhoon Haiyan, three Filipino scholars of ICSSPE’s “Communities in Crisis: Inclusive Development through Sport” held at Rheinsberg, Germany - in cooperation with the Sport Management Council of the Philippines (SportPhil), University of the Philippines College of Human Kinetics (UP CHK), and the International Emergency and Development Aid (IEDA) conducted a sport-based psychosocial program named “3Rs: RePLAY, ReLIVE, ReCREATE” for the empowerment of local human resources in July 2015.
The primary objective of the 3-day seminar-workshop was to build their capacity to utilize play, games, physical activities and sport in facilitating individual and community resilience.
