The #1 reason for children not attending school in the communities we partner with is poverty. Instead of learning inside the classroom, children are forced into manual labour or sold off into child marriage so that their family can afford to eat and survive.
Through our Family Strengthening Project, our local team of social workers work on a case-by-case basis to support families through a number of ways that enable them to build stronger family foundations and create new income generation activities that empower their livelihoods.
