I don’t have a bender and wondered if you could have used hardee board for outside instead of aluminum siding…? Thanks for the video

Nice complete video. How would you install a window WITHOUT the capping and wood on the exterior? ie; have the window frame go straight up to the exterior brick. Thanks.

You can try to find a local company that will prepare the windows exactly to your size, then you only silicone them to the brick. These windows are usually a bit more expensive than those from homedepot. You can also use PVC trim boards to seal out the gaps.

The edge of the sheetrock was covered by the window casing. Sometimes I also focus too much on recording and not on work 😕

IMO the interior damage was minimal. Not a concern at all. Good job on the video

@@jlatnycMinimal perhaps but no need to have damaged it at all. Casing may cover it but there’s still several gaps being the casing that didn’t need to be there.

You didn't show any sealant in the gap between the rough opening and the window. You're going to let in drafts and noise.

@@bondpit8750 We can always do something better, faster or cheaper. Every job has its budget. Many people are perfect theorists who would do everything better. I would like to see how they replace 5 such windows a day in real life. In this video I do not teach how it should be done. It shows how I do it.
