one does not just "install" a carrier without doing the input shaft. gonna be really mashy, or really loose. you can even hear the bearings in the pig howling before you finished.

Good video bud, my only thoughts was the sound levels going from hard to hear you to the music being loud. Keep working on the Dodge and making videos of it they are fun to watch.

Omg you skipped the part I needed the most. How to get the spider differential out!! But I didn't know it was a two part axe many thanksl and you never said anything about how to properly put the seals on and how to put gear oil back in

Mine was damaged and twisted so I had to beat it out. Normally once you pull the axles and unbolt the 4 bolts you can lightly pry it out. And the seals are a pain in the ass I'm not good at explaining it cause for me its alot of cussing and beating things unless you have the correct seal tools and I dont.

    Used jack stands!

Ok a further into the video I see jack stands The first thing you need to do is place those jack stands before you go under The last thing you would want to happen is have your son walk outside and see you smashed under your truck It happens There was a news report about a guy found under his car He had been there a few days before a friend came by to see why he had not heard from him And found him there They think it was a earthquake that happened a few days earlier that week that caused the car to fall off the jack Ha had jack stands setting just a few feet away Fixing your own stuff is the way to go but take that extra minute and save your self a lot of possible headaches

Good job I'm glad I watched your video already taking the front end apart axles seals were leaking on the one I'm working on and I didn't see if there was a replacement of that or does the right side I'm trying to figure out how to get the seal out of the housing to I think the split shaft is a piece of shit design having issues with that

I see this is a older video And this is how to learn by doing things you’re self Nothing wrong with that But in the future get your self some jack stands or blocks of wood and definitely not cinderblocks they crush under load The reason why you need stands or blocks is if your jack slips or fails Or even worse you little boy comes out to see what your up to and happens to bump that jack And your car comes down and crushes you Or you kid if he crawls under there with you Nothing good can come out of it happening So do yourself a favor and get some blocks or nice jack stands Also I think learning by doing is the best way It may cost a little extra for some mistakes but in the long run you will have a vehicle that you can depend on and know what it takes to get it going again 👍

Great advice. I've had a car fall on me. 79z got lucky and fit sideways between gas tank and body behind back seats. 5 mins earlier or later would not have been so lucky. Always have jack stands now. And exactly, that's how you learn. By doing it so great job tackling it. Keep mud slinging!
